2023-24 NBA (Playoffs!) Thread: Lakers blame refs for blowing 20-point lead

Feels like the Nuggets came into this game expecting the Lakers to roll over. Low energy level, horrible defensive rebounding, just an icky game.

2023-24 NBA (Playoffs!) Thread: Lakers blame refs for blowing 20-point lead

Jaxson Hayes has no business playing in a real playoff game.

2023-24 NBA (Playoffs!) Thread: Lakers blame refs for blowing 20-point lead

This seems 100% like every situation he's left previously to me. They aren't finding somebody to solve this, and I assume Lebron sees that. Finding his way to NY or back to Cleveland would give him a couple more years to chase a title and have enough talent around him to take the load off of him...

2023-24 NBA (Playoffs!) Thread: Lakers blame refs for blowing 20-point lead

If they lose in the first round, what are the odds that Lebron stays in LA? 50/50?

Could the Pels even give him away at his contract number?

McCollum is off to a hot start.

He'd be an okay replacement for Giddy in the starting lineup.

2023-24 NBA (Playoffs!) Thread: Lakers blame refs for blowing 20-point lead

From some dude on Reddit: Joel Embiid has more flagrant fouls than Draymond Green in just over half the games I tried to copy and paste everything but I'm a bit tipsy putting my daughter to bed so this is the best you get.

He really seems like one of those dudes that hates his job as much as the average person hates their desk job.

2023-24 NBA (Playoffs!) Thread: Lakers blame refs for blowing 20-point lead

I feel like it's a little low, but it's possible the next two series in the west could be tough for them (or a complete breeze). I would probably have both them and Boston (such an easy path to the finals) in the +170 range with the field at about the same odds as well. The Lakers laughed at...

2023-24 NBA (Playoffs!) Thread: Lakers blame refs for blowing 20-point lead

The thing that baffles me more than maybe anything with him is that he is CONSTANTLY behind the play after a defensive rebound for the Nuggets. Sometimes he is yelling at the refs, sometimes he is on the ground, sometimes he's tired, sometimes it's just frustration. It leads to a handful of easy...

2023-24 NBA (Playoffs!) Thread: Lakers blame refs for blowing 20-point lead

Being that Williams is out for the year, I don't think there is much debate. If healthy, the answer is obviously still Porzingis.

2023-24 NBA (Playoffs!) Thread: Lakers blame refs for blowing 20-point lead

I would have guessed that a sweep was much more likely result than the Heat getting two wins, but one win was slightly more likely than a sweep. The Heat were (and are) huge underdogs.

2023-24 NBA (Playoffs!) Thread: Lakers blame refs for blowing 20-point lead

I think Adebayo is something of a bugaboo for the Celtics because his defensive strengths are mostly how the Celtics want to attack offensively. And this season, Porzingis has added a real stretch element that can also be brought inside (Horford is a fine shooter but not the same level and he...

2023-24 NBA (Playoffs!) Thread: Lakers blame refs for blowing 20-point lead

I was out and about... what happened with Porzingis? He had a -55.2 net rating (-32+/- for the game) in 30 minutes. If I were a Celtics fan, I still wouldn't be worried about this series, necessarily, but I would be worried that the team was kinda trash offensively, especially in the 4th... again.
