We start 2RB/2WR/TE/flex, 12 team league
My roster:
QB - Carson Wentz, Jared Goff
RB - Todd Gurley, James Conner, Chris Carson, Austin Ekeler
WR - Kenny Golladay, Keenan Allen, Danny Amendola, Demaryius Thomas
TE - Austin Hooper, Vance McDonald
His roster:
QB - Patrick Mahomes, Deshaun...
so injuries to my RBs and the backups to my RB picks have left me scrambling all season for waiver wire RBs (RIP DJ, Cook, Chris Thompson)
0.5 PPR, standard scoring, 12-team redraft league. Only worried about RBs and WRs, start 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 flex:
RBs
Alfred Morris @ NYG (12th most points...
So what are you doing with him?
Week 1, there are indications that Arian Foster might be a bit nicked up, so I play Ben Tate. He puts up 5 points.
Week 2, there are no indications that Foster is injured or gimpy or anything, so I bench Tate. He puts up 25 points.
Makes me want to pull my hair...
I'm talking about stuff like offensive linemen pressures allowed, QB hits allowed, average YPC at them, CB target data and results i.e. CB thrown at 50 times, gave up 30 receptions for 325 yards
I know PFF used to do that, but their ratings are extremely weird and I'm not willing to drop that...
5 WRs had > 110 receptions, 9 players had > 100 receptions, 17 had > 80.
23 WRs were over 1000 yards receiving.
Some of the names were not surprising. Some of them were.
Jeff Graham never broke 70 receptions or 1000 yards receiving in any other season, yet in 1995 he went 82/1301...
126 solos, 30 assists, 3.5 sacks...insanity. Rookie extraordinaire.
the talent is there, but is the body? Yes, nagging injuries. I think a lot of people are placing him in the upper echelon of IDP ILBs when he may not deserve it.
We all see his ceiling. We all see the talent, but talent...
It's not like he's coming off of an injury this season, he was healthy for 2008.
Make no mistake, Wilson has the sick ability to produce as well as a LB, but he's a bit older these days and he just doesn't seem nearly as effective, all-around, as he did in 2005(ish)
What am I missing here...
Who has posted the best games at each primary IDP position?
Here's a few off the top of my head:
DT:
Week 6, 2008, Kevin Williams vs. Detroit
8 solos, 4 sacks, 28 points
DE:
Week 6, 2007, Osi vs. Philadelphia
6 sacks, 2 FF, 41 points
OLB:
Week 9, 2007, James Harrison vs. Baltimore
9...
Jene, from here, you mention a variety of teams using underfronts and 1-gap alignments.
I'm to the point in one of my leagues where I need to select a DT, and the more obvious ones are gone (KWilliams, Haynesworth, Dockett, Shaun Rogers). As such I'm looking for the next great undertackle, and...
Okay, maybe it's just me, but the LBs seem to go kinda like this:
Tier 1 - Patrick Willis, Jon Beason
Tier 2 - Barrett Ruud, DeMeco Ryans, Jonathan Vilma
Tier 3 - DJ Williams, Jerod Mayo, Kirk Morrison
Tier 1 - 100+ solos without having an "ideal" situation
Tier 2 - 90+ solos, 100+ upside...
The entire purpose of this is to check out the IDP ratings and if opinions differ drastically on a certain player, to ask "why". Maybe someone knows something the others don't, maybe someone's a hater, maybe it's just a standard difference of opinion or a "hunch".
Regardless, these are some of...
Just kinda curious. He didn't have the greatest season last year, but the year before, he was at the top of the heap. Has he fallen that far that fast? I thought he was going to start for NE Pats?
What is it that I'm missing here?
1) He has averaged 80+ tackles over a full season the last 3 seasons he's played
2) He's still pretty young
3) He's going to play at WLB with Ruud in the middle (I would assume)
how are these bad things? Is he still suffering from injury?
