Congrats to your friend on being an obedient little slave and thinking bending over to stupid rules (and in his case propaganda against all of us) is somehow virtuous.
Is there any talk of Watson going pro this year? I'm probably overreacting based on one performance, but he looked plenty ready. He's got every tool and made some great throws into some NFL tight windows.
Seems like proper use to me. Look at people freaking out of Burfict's hit. A couple of decades ago that's called a great play. I remember with LBs were lauded for destroying WRs going over the middle. But no, we get proof of an increased risk of future mental problems that we've been dealing...
Yeah, "head-hunting". These players just must have insane reflexes to react at full speed to a player's head lowering in less than half a second with the intention of injury. Right...
The legal system that won't allow players to take the an increased risk of head injuries to play the sport...
I want to watch football. I don't enjoy grappling. I enjoy teams of people fighting to move the ball down the field. Not this offense fest where the defense is expected to just let a player go over the middle of the field and not hurt them. #### our stupid legal system that reduces all of us...
As they should because they intentionally hid medical information from players. But now that the info is all out there, I don't buy it. The risk is inherant to the game.
My opponent's lineup:
Luck, Cooks, K. Allen, Harvin, R. Jennings, CJ Anderson, Kelce, M. Bryant, Ravens D.
Just brutal. Luck may be doomed tonight. Or outscore the entire rest of his team. My Antonio Brown did.
For the Cowboys, I'd say Gary Hogeboom. Steve Pelluer was equally awful though. The only other one with 5 or more starts that is in consideration is Jerry Rhome back in the 60s. Lower the limit to 3 and Ryan Leaf is the obvious pick.
Could be Weeden in the few weeks now :(
Most actions were set by (bad) precedent before. Republicans have had ample time and power to reign in the power of the executive when they had it. Their whining now is pathetic.
They are thinking on a longer timeline. Even if they are destroyed, the actions to get there and those that follow will sway even more followers to their extreme reactionary thinking.
The alternative is to stop doing exactly what has caused this entire mess. Manipulating these nations/regions like puppets. Let them fight their wars and deal with the consequences. If some group manages to pull of some terrorist attack, send in some special forces and eliminate them, but...
It's not exactly the borders, though that's part of it, but the system of government imposed on them after WWI by the UK in Iraq. It didn't come from the will of the people and they remained loyal to their tribal groups in a lot of cases. Then when that foreign grip relaxed, the systems just...
They don't have any desire to fight and die to subjugate the rest of Iraq. These people have no sense of national identity. Trying to piece together the old Iraq is a futile exercise.
Give me a realistic scenario that would have been worse and justify that war at that time. Every justification given at that time was seriously overblown to outright lies.
