Peacock has about 21M subscribers. The number of NFL fans is that several times over. So what happens when streaming services start picking up games here and there like the one they got from the NFL for the exclusive playoff game on January 13, 2024? Will more people buy yet another streaming...
In a somewhat related topic, I wonder if the game is cancelled, what happens to those players with bonuses that don't get met because they rushed for 10 less yards or a sack less or whatever their performance bonus is tied to?
From what I have read in this thread, it seems A LOT of people are really sweating money, how th epots are splite, etc instead of the bragging rights of winning a league. That makes me wonder why they are still playing FF. Why not do draft kings or something if the money is so important.
I...
I've never seen this many people in a thread at the same time before. Obviously it is a very unique and serious situation.
Let's use that gathering of people in a positive way and all come together and simply pray for him tonight. Everyone. All of us. Send your prayers and well wishes.
Ok. I understand your position. I hope for the best, as I'm sure you do as well. I don't think I've ever seen that many NFL players and coaches so visibly shaken and frightened. Truly frightened. I just don't want to be angry in the moment. Just thankful he is still alive.
Good point. Which asks the question: if he is in critical condition or worse, heaven forbid, how do these two teams take the field anytime soon in the coming days?
Again, not arguing with anyone but 75% of American households don't have burial plans and life insurance contingencies for a worst case scenario in their own homes. I just don't think it's in the nature of people or businesses to have an outlined plan for something of this magnitude. But I get...

I'm not arguing with you, just saying I can understand people making a bad calling such a situation. But, heck, I'm still wondering how the NFL played a season during a global pandemic with zero game cancellations.
I know players and coaches understand the risks of football but I wonder if seeing this on the field as it happened leads any players to rethink playing.i know that's small talk but I've just never seen players react like that. I'm sure this will lead to some very significant safety policy changes.
I know we all cal the NFL out for their greed and insensitivity but, to be fair, this is unprecedented. They likely didn't know what to do in the moment.
Yes, makes you think either they have him stable and a few minutes won't change anything given his status or it's very dire. Pray for the first scenario, obviously
Another thing to take to mind:. Truly awesome job by the medical staff. We are quick to rag on the NFL, refs, etc, but give credit the the medical staff. They saved a life tonight.
What you miss is that all those things you criticize about him...those are the things that describe him as an everyday person in America and that made him incredibly relatable to the average person, making him an extremely popular.
If you grew up during the Ric Flair/Dusty Rhodes era and was a young adult during the Steve Austin/Rock era, this is the exact point you should have stopped watching pro wrestling. It was never as good afte that and never will be.
He's had some incredible shooters. The NBA is flush with former wildcats that are amazing players. Just in the past few years-booker, herro, maxey, fox, johnson,. Incredible list. BUT, it's always the same. So much talent that doesn't stay but a New York minute and then start over. Never there...
