Time to fire up an official thread to host all the chatter.
Jim and John Harbaugh coaching against one another.
Two unlikeable all time greats at the end of their career in Randy Moss and Ray Lewis.
SF is favored but Baltimore has been underestimated a lot. They weren't expected to beat...
Which was worse? McCarthy punting the ball on 4th and 4 with 11 minutes to go despite only 11 minutes being left in the game after SF had already piled up 500 yards and dominated time of possession?Fox kneeling with 31 seconds and two timeouts to go into overtime? Punting on fourth and inches...
No reason Harbaugh shouldn't roll with him for at least another week. And he looked fantastic vs. the Bears, not just with his rm but with his legs as well. If he's going to keep starting, he should be on your roster and possibly in your starting lineup.
:drive:
With almost 10 minutes to go in the fourth quarter and leading the Raiders by 11, Schiano opted to keep Doug Martin on the sidelines. Martin was 52 yards away from breaking the all time single game rushing record. Blount promptly fumbled the ball.
Thoughts?
I planned on firing this up after the World Series but Billy Beane has made a big trade. So let's get it underway. Sad the season came to a close so soon but taking it to game 5 and finishing the season as AL West division champs is a great accomplishment. We'll see how the team fares next...
Currently both teams are tied for first place (along with Arizona). SF is favored in this game by 7. Russ Wilson is coming off his best game while Alex Smith is coming off his worst performance.
Both teams have similar styles - limited passing, run heavy, and hard hitting defenses.
Should be a...
In the Niners/Lions game thread, several posters claimed Stafford was overrated. And they weren't just talking about his one game performance against a good defense but as a quarterback in general. He did have over 5,000 yards passing last year. 41 touchdowns vs. 16 interceptions. 5th best qb...
Most of week one in the book and everyone is interpreting the results differently.
Who are you looking to move/acquire?
Some interesting names:
Fred Jackson - if it really is a minor injury he'll be back soon enough. If it's not rbbc he's a stud.
CJ Spiller - if Fred Jackson has a major...
Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks didn't make the trip and are the two biggest pieces missing for SF tonight. Excited to see how a lot of the players look tonight.
Right now the offense has been the biggest surprise. I know it's Spring Training, the pitchers aren't in shape, or they're going against guys who will get sent down soon enough but I'll take the good news where I can get it. Fosse and other long time media guys have been talking about it as...
Fairly simple question. If Aaron Rodgers broke his leg in the preseason and Flynn played the entire regular season for the Green and Gold what would their record be?
Kudos to derek19 for finding this news and sharing it in the SF thread. He hasn't done much this year but I still felt it was newsworthy of its own thread.
He claims his injury is taking too long to heal so SF released him. What do we make of his dynasty prospects? What teams might sign him as...
Let's hope this game plays out better than I fear.
Gabbert looks like the next David Carr. Rivers is...well I don't know what his problem is. Hiding an injury? Either way this is a battle between two terrible teams.
Why the last 14 starts and not 16? Going further than 14 gets messy thanks to Singletary benching him, playing him in parts of games, injuries, etc. I got this information from ESPN and Niner forums.
2,730 yards
61% completion
7.3 ypa
19 touchdowns. 4 interceptions.
97 Quarterback rating...
Peyton Hillis is having a hard time getting healthy. Hardesty is hurt. Only two guys left. Clayton may not be anything special but it wouldn't be the first time some no name running back gained fantasy relevance after injuries decimated those in front of him.
Clayton is not only going to be...
Not too sure why the previous thread was locked. Folks had their debates (which happens in almost every thread) then it seemed folks had moved on.
Peyton Hillis tweaked his hamstring last game. He's going in for an MRI today. Let's hope for good news.
