    ***AFC Championship Game Thread***

My understanding is Bart's roll is to take on blocks coming to the second level so Harris is freed up to make the tackles. he kind of acts like a bodyguard for harris and funnels the play to him. So, he rarely has big stat lines.

***Pre-Game Thread*** New York Jets at Pittsburgh

If that's the case, and you can take some good-natured ribbing, you'll do OK. Just make sure to "blend in" by hoisting a couple of Iron City's. :lmao: Yeah, had my share of IC's in the past, family always scores a few cases for big steelers games. Wonder how I'll blend in wearing my JETS...

***Pre-Game Thread*** New York Jets at Pittsburgh

Yeah, that's kind of what I thought. I actually like the steelers and tend not to be a jackass in general at sporting events. So i'm not anticipating trouble...but wasn't sure what the vibe in the stadium/tailgates would be like.

***Pre-Game Thread*** New York Jets at Pittsburgh

My brother-in-law and I are considering a trip to the game. He's a Steeler fan, I'm Jets. Slightly off topic, but what type of experience should a rival fan expect from Steeler nation...assuming you're sporting Green & White? My hunch is that steeler fans tend to be a passionate and loyal...

***Pre-Game Thread*** New York Jets at New England

Given Welker's presser, is Rex beginning to win a psychological battle with the NE players? You know their coach won't get into the fray...but the more time they spend trying to counter Rex or steal some pre-game limelight I have to see as small vicotories for the Jets. Thoughts?

***Pre-Game Thread*** New York Jets at New England

Q: How valuable is it to have a guy like Tom Brady standing in the huddle, especially in the intense situations of the playoff atmosphere? WW: Having Tom in there - it goes without saying, the guy is who he is and he does a great job of making sure everyone is on the same page and putting their...

    NEWSDAY: Jets considering Brandon Marshall

Wait--Didn't the jets trade for Lito Shep have a conditional 2-4th rounder attached? Wouldn't that impact here?

    NEWSDAY: Jets considering Brandon Marshall

That would be a banging deal for the jets...can't see Denver going for that.

What's Happened to Home Field Advantage?

Also, there are some implied percentages that I didn't really connect the dots on. Like AFC/Same Timezone Roadies make up by far the largest percentile of All road winners. (33%)

What's Happened to Home Field Advantage?

I see your point...I wouldn't say I'm trying to spin it though. Just that there is a pretty significant chance..more than I would have thought, that one of the home teams is going to loose. The post was really to be more informative..draw your own conclusions. What has my interest really...

What's Happened to Home Field Advantage?

I guess I didn't really tie it all together, maybe it can't be tied all together. This was my thinking:Total Road Winners 18 (22% in Pittsburgh)AFC Road Winners 11 (36% in Pittsburgh)Road Winners Same Timezone 7 (29% in Pittsburgh)

What's Happened to Home Field Advantage?

First of all, I'm no statistician. I'm just an average Excel user who needs to pick the next 3 games correctly. So, I decided to give myself a little history lesson in Conference Championships. Now, theoretically I'm not sure my sample size is significant enough for anyone to base a decision...
