On the Steelers, things that will be missed by releasing Hines Ward:
1. Veteran Leadership
2. Blocking downfield
Hopefully, the Young Guns will pick up the slack in #2!!!
Ozymandias:Just because Dan Rooney is the owner of the Steelers does not mean he is involved in the day to day dealings of the team. He has involved other family members with good backgrounds in those types of positions.
Go to NFL.COM
They have sortable statistics for offense and defense for the regular season and post-season. You can justify your stance by looking at it.
"There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics."
Numbers, numbers, numbers!!!
:coffee:
Just because Randy Moss, Torry Holt, Marvin Harrison, and anybody else you'd care to name have "better numbers", doesn't mean that the HOF voters are so ignorant as to leave someone like Hines Ward out.
You have to look at the entire career of the...
It's plain and simple as to what happened to the Steelers today...
Ben Roethlisberger was TERRIBLE!!! The offensive line reverted back to it's play against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3. The defense finally showed wear and tear.
Overall, a pathetic performance by my Pittsburgh Steelers...
It is getting "so much play" because NFL history was made. Over 12,700 NFL games were played before someone ever got an 11-10 score.
You don't have to like it, you just have to be able to live with it.
And the re-organization of the Pirates coaching continues...
1st base coach Lou Frazier has been fired.
That makes...
1. Pitching Coach Jeff Andrews
2. 1st Base Coach Lou Frazier
Who's next?!?!
I updated this for the end of season.

I take a calcium channel blocker to help control blood pressure. It is my understanding that this class of drugs was being investigated as a "male contraceptive" at one point in time.Just my experience. Been married for 17 years, no kids. :lmao:
The play was called on the field as an interception. The replay did not overturn the call on the field. It is my belief that had the call on the field been incomplete, the replay would not overturn that call either. :lmao:
OK. From what I've been able to find, it looks like faceguarding is legal, as long as the player does not touch the opposing player. So be it.
I'll be interested to see if any play similar to this is called the rest of the NFL season.
dirtywaters20:Polamalu's interception occurred after this. So I don't believe one had to do with the other.I'll check the NFL Rule Book on pass interference before answering the other. The link is to the NFL.com website. I guess maybe you're employer is blocking that site.
