On Friday my 10 year old son and a friend were at our neighborhood park playing baseball when my son hit a ball and it broke the friends nose. My son calls me, we get his friend home to his house and the dad doesn't seem to concerned about the nose. I know it's broken but figure he'll be fine...

My son just asked me why the Cards didn't get to keep the ball after they recovered it after the block. I assume it has to do with the fact the ball didn't cross the line of scrimmage, but it that correct?

That was a rough one for me too. I was 17? and he was the funniest guy working. Walker dying really bothered me as well, but I wasn't really a big fan of his. He seemed like a nice guy and he didn't die from drugs or anything like that, just a dumb accident.

No. The way I read it didn't let Ray Rice off the hook. It was more of speaking to the problem of people/women not backing down when it is starting to go to far.

While I can see what you are trying for with that link, it's not quite the same thing. By all accounts, Rice didn't just attack his fiance out of nowhere, she hit him. Ray is responsible for his actions but so is she. Whenever my kids get into a fight I have to tell the older one to stop...
