This set of polls is for rookie picks prior to the NFL draft. There will also be a set of polls for after the NFL draft. As always - please feel free to add any comments on why you selected a player at this slot and to suggest players who you think have been overlooked (or if you voted other, then please feel free to add a post on who you voted for).

The purpose for these polls is to attempt to roughly gauge the perceived values of the rookie players without knowing the context of their draft position and team that they are drafted by. The polls that take place after the NFL Draft obviously will factor in situation as well as talent, and of course the knowledge of what NFL Draft round and team each player has landed on.

Debate is very welcome as we all want to know not only which players are specifically ranked ahead of others but also why. This also bumps the thread so that more people will see the poll and hopefully participate by voting.

I will try to stay on top of these and keep the polls moving. The more votes the better. I prefer to not close any poll until there are at least 100 votes (since revised to close to 50 votes) and I might leave a poll open longer if the vote is very close between prospects.

After 20 votes Maxx Williams is leading the standard poll with 7 votes. Devin Smith has 5

In the PPR poll Devin Smith has 4 votes. David Johnson and David Cobb have 3 votes. McBride and Conley have 2 votes each.

In the 2QB poll Devin Smith and Nelson Agholor have 3 votes each. Garrett Grayson has two votes.

Add RBs Mike Smith and Javorius Allen to the list next round, please.
Will do. Which Mike Smith are you referring to?

I have Javorius Allen near the top of my watch list but I don't have a Mike Smith on my list.

This is the fourth day since I created this thread. 36 votes now.

At this pace I am hoping to be able to finish poll 2.12 by April 30th but unless votes happen more quickly I doubt there will be enough time to poll further than that prior the draft. Although I would love to be able to do that.

Perhaps start these polls even sooner next year could lead to results that included the 3rd round prospects as well.

As things stand for this poll right now.

Maxx Williams is winning the standard poll. Which follows that he won the PPR and 2QB poll at pick 2.08

David Johnson is winning the PPR poll. In the standard poll David Cobb was voted in before Johnson. This makes sense to a degree that Johnson might be valued more in this scoring format.

Nelson Agholor is winning the 2QB poll. Which follows that he already won in the standard and PPR poll.

Faust posts a lot. :)

Someone changed their vote from David Johnson to Devin Smith recently because Johnson had 8 votes an hour or so ago and Smith had seven. Now Smith has nine and Johnson has seven.

Sorry, was posting from my phone and got in a hurry.

I meant Mike Davis from South Carolina. Stoopid generic names.

Aha Mike Davis!! I do have him on my list. Just after John Smith. ;)

Is a phone really smart when it starts doing all the heavy lifting and auto-corrects to things that are incorrect?

Hey 44 votes now. Maybe I can wrap this one up soon.

Poll closed at 45 votes.
