An interesting thing happened in the NYG-OAK game (1 Viewer)

With Carr coming in to replace Eli before the half, three different #1 overall draft picks have played QB in this game - Eli Manning, David Carr, and Jamarcus Russell.

IIRC this happened a couple years ago when the Panthers played the Colts, also involving Carr and a Manning. Carr came in to replace an injured Vinny Testaverde in that game.

Does anyone know if there are other instances of a game where three different #1 overall picks played QB?

From 1963 to 1965 the Rams had both Terry Baker (#1 pick of the 1963 NFL draft) and Roman Gabriel (#1 pick of the 1962 AFL draft) on the roster.

From 1964 to 1966 the Eagles had both King Hill (#1 pick of 1958 NFL draft) and Jack Concannon (#1 pick of 1964 AFL draft) on the roster.

On November 8, 1964 the Eagles played The Rams, although it looks like only 2 of the 4 #1 picks actually played in the game.

Yeah the Rams also played the Bears a few times with Billy Wade at QB, but I didn't see any instances where all three of them played in the same game.On a side note, this is long before my time, but did teams routinely rotate players at QB back in those days? I'm looking at game logs from the 60s and it doesn't seem uncommon for a team to have different players with the majority of passing attempts from week to week, or even multiple players with a significant number of attempts in the same game. I wonder if I'm just seeing some weird situations or if that actually happened on a fairly regular basis...

Here are all of the number 1 QB picks.

Seems like it probably hasn't happened that much, considering that the QB as the overall number 1 is much more prevalent lately.
