No surprise. Couldn't even watch the game tonight and listen to an idiot Gruden brother yammering in my ear while my record-breaking, top-scoring, beloved magic football team that I hand-picked, curated, traded for, etc. suffered its inevitable fate at the hands of Mason Crosby and lost by less than six, which was really the number I knew needed to be beaten. My season came up short an Odell Beckham (that one had me out of my seat because of his talent) and Josh Gordon drop and a Brady underthrow of Gronk in the end zone.
Given the same knowledge that I had, I'd do it all over again, I think. At least there's no second-guessing. Guys had bad games. I feel like I was beaten by the ineptitude that is Jay Gruden and Mike Pettine in Week 14.
Now I guess the real work begins and it's time to roll up the sleeves and get into some daily stuff, because I don't have the wherewithal other than for Ronco lineups next year.
Good luck to those moving on and I hope all you who've never tasted the prize in your main league/labor of love get to do so. Contrary to the phrase so often bandied about it, I do care about your ff teams. They fundamentally change Sundays and give us every reason to hang in through stop-and-go live action peppered with commercials. Gotta love the thrill. Best of luck.
