I saw some of this and I thought it was really weak, kind of sad. I think NBC pulled him out if therapy too quickly. Having said that he might improve msnbc which is like watching a college station, it can be really amateurish, unprofessional. Of course this can also just accentuate their credibility issues all the more.

Its his way of trying to make himself believe it wasnt as bad as it seems. Acting as if he took the high road most of the time then just slipped up. In reality, what he "did for many years", doesnt matter at all nor is it germane to the story.
