Gift card arrived a few days ago. Purchased about $64 worth of beer this evening - $136 left to spend!
Did he tell you the charge for the second mini-genie is $300?I mentioned that I would need a second mini-genie and the guy told me to do the one year deal, then call back a couple weeks after and order the mini-genie, that way I would get the $200 GC.

Sunday ticket is always free the first week.Four days without DirecTV and my cancellation bluff had me terrified. Was relieved when I finally got an email that said they were SORRY to lose me as a customer. Well I was SORRY too !! Who was I kidding...no SUNDAY TICKET?? Six TVs, three of them out in the Valhalla Tavern Pub Shed out by the pool. No way was I going to be happy being unable to go to the NFL Church on Sundays in my very own backyard sports bar. What the hell was I going to do? Go to Buffalo Wild Wings and fight over a decent seat, pay for their overpriced beers and food, deal with not being able to hear the game I want to hear???? Hell Fing NO !! I'm the Mad Viking and I watch my Vikings and NFL games in my very own Valhalla Tavern Sports Bar and Grill. So I called the 888 number on the email I worried about for four days.....
Here's where my story went to crap. Nice Rep answers named Cameron. I imagined him being a struggling college student, just trying to make his way in todays America. Worn down by constant irate customers, working him over for free #### and a better deal. His last call was probably from some football guys dude who worked him till he almost cried, he even thought about ending it all. So what did I do??? .....
I folded like a cheap Fing suit the second he said the magic words. Mr. Mad Viking, we don't want to lose you as a customer so I'm giving you free Sunday Ticket Max and $54.00 off your bill for 2017. As he spoke I was browsing the DirecTV website and was reading up on their PREMIER (all included) package. Every damn movie channel, all the sports channels, hell, 350 channels, all of them except for the porn stuff. So I asked Mr Cameron, Hey dude, how much for me to get that PREMIER package with my six TV's. $154 a month for a one year contract Mr. Mad Viking.

did they give a reason? I have every channel but 703/704 yet Ive paid for everything...WTFJesus. So no Sunday ticket today. I've been on hold for 45 minutes now waiting to talk to someone.
So everything I was promised when I disconnected and reconnected hasn't been given to me. I had to call and complain that they didn't turn on the free movie channels (and then they charged me for them), I had to call and complain because they never put my gift card into the system, and now I'm calling because they never activated my free ST Max.
This may be my last week with these idiots, Im thinking about paying the early term fee and just cutting the cord once and for all.

I notice in my garage I have an HD box hooked to a standard tv and those two channels don't come up on the guide for some reason. Work fine inside on the other three HD tvs.did they give a reason? I have every channel but 703/704 yet Ive paid for everything...WTF
Thanks for posting that rebate center number. I signed up for DTV in July and was promised the $200 GC. Hadn't seen it, called this number, and a couple minutes later they said it would be on its way.My stupid gift card journey may finally have closure after STILL not showing up anyhwere online or in my mail box.
Today: I call back the original number I called back on July 23rd that gave me my reconnect deal. Im told I was indeed promised a $200 GC, she makes notes to my account and and transfers me to billing to take care of it.
Billing: Sorry, Im not seeing a gift card offer. Youre not eligible. I tell her the rep that transferred me over just confirmed Im getting it. She says sorry, theres nothing there. Nothing she can do. Great. Total time on phone: 45 minutes
So I call back original number and explain what just happened. New rep says that makes no sense. BINGO. It then takes the rep 30 minutes to that find any mention of a gift card, and it was never added to my reconnect offer. It only shows on notes a rep put on the account on July 24th when I called to confirm the details of my reconnect deal. She spends another 20 minutes trying to figure out how to get me the card. No luck. She makes more notes on my account and connects me to an accelerated customer something dept. They look at the account and say yes you are getting a gift card. Let us transfer you over to rebates. After holding for 15 minutes, I get disconnected. Total phone call time: 52 minutes.
I call back the accelerated customer something dept. They tell me I need to call rebate center. They give me the number for the rebate center (877-258-1427). Total time: 5 minutes
Rebate center: No problem, let me activate that for you.....after literally 2 minutes, he says it will be mailed within 10 days and will show up online within 3 days.
So almost 2 hours and several phone calls and I may finally be getting the gift card I was promised back in July. SMH.

Got a gift card alright...for $40. Spent an hour of my life trying to discuss this with them on the phone to no avail. Horrible company, good riddance.Called to cancel this weekend and was told that I've been paying for a 4th TV for 2 years, which is weird since I don't have a 4th TV. Supposedly getting a gift card for $250 for paying for something I wasn't getting. Gal was very nice. Then all week long I was getting calls from a TEN area code. Figured it was either @Joe Bryant calling to finally make me a part of his staff or DirecTV calling to win me back. Finally answered and the guy from DTV offered me all sorts of crap but at the end of the day, I can't watch the Blazers with DTV nor the Ducks when they play on Pac12 network, so to hell with them. Comcast bundle was a much better deal for us plus I can now watch my sports teams. DTV is officially dead to me.
