Back when people used to write checks, did they sit there in line while the check cleared the bank? Imagine a world where you don’t sit there and wait for the 4 dollar transaction to clear. 
 

(It’s unlikely a 4 dollar coffee transaction is ever going to be settled directly on chain. There are second and third layer solutions for that)

good to see these same questions from 2017 popping back up. The cycle is coming back around.

I don't give a crap, I'm out $50 I knew I would lose the second I sent it, but with BitCoin hitting new highs, a guy who raised $10K and invested it on our behalf should probably provide some answers on where that money went.

From what I can tell, your $50 is now worth ~$5.50

I put this together a while ago.  Click on ALL-TIME under the percentage.  It's not exact but should be close.

I have no idea what the status of the "keys" are.

 
I got flamed like a mo fo in this thread for the below posts.  Bitcoin is up 110% since these posts and ETH is up 127% in the same time.  Ya'll should have been excellent and realized I was just trying to help.

We don't own any bitcoin.  Crap is all where it was before.  Only logged into Binance from time to time other stuff is scattered and some on old phone.  

I offered to let someone take over the logins many times and crickets.  

Who wants them?

I will take them, with the caveat that nothing should be done with the holdings until the BTC cycle goes full circle and we see if many get greedy again and try to rotate back into and revive some of these ####coins.

Cool.  Go over the list and give me your wallet addresses.   If that doesn't work, I will just give you the keys to my binance and we can see what we can move there that isn't there.  I think more coins wallets probably been added to there since I stopped paying attention.

I will take a look. I am betting the vast majority are ERC-20 tokens. Those should be pretty easy to consolidate into one wallet, like Trust Wallet, and the credentials can be shared. 

 
Here what I am showing. The non ERC20 tokens will require a bit more effort. Most of these are DOA, but might as well hold them to see if any can scam in some new buyers ;)  Will create a new wallet and send addresses when I have time. Figuring out how to move and store the rest off-exchange will take a little more time.

GM is very concerned about this after all these years and wants to know what happened so I will try to help.

I would start by reading the thread.  It will be an invaluable resource.  

Crypto went up, no one wanted to sell.

Crypto when down, nothing to sell.

I didn't sell any holding that wasn't posted here.  Everything is still in the wallets or exchanges if they still exist.  

Jersey will get controll of everything by the end of the weekend hopefully.  

There you go.  Do we need to answer CYDY questions too when everything is posted about that too?

Ya, I am going to organize this. Someone else can mess with payouts. 

 
In a nutshell, we bought at the top of the cycle. That cycle is a bit evergreen, and will come back around. Most of the stuff we hold is ####, some is not. A few might bounce at the end of the current cycle. 

5 dollars could be 10 dollars in no time!

First off, all the coins are where they were.  I wrote down instructions for my wife in case I died on how to access the a long time ago.  I seen the instructions in my safe a few times looking for other things so I know they are there.  I also remember thinking man this isn't going to be easy for her or me.  But I will get it done.

I also am truly sorry this crap went bust.  I love to give to people here and not to take from you all.  So I apologize for leading you down this path.

When bitcoin was at 3 to 5k.  Our stuff was less than 500 bucks or so.  I am sure there was some discussion in the thread of selling everything for btc.  For most coins the fees to exchange were more than the coins.   

Finally thanks to @JerseyToughGuysfor helping, I asked many times to silence.

Hey I "lost" (hope spring eternal!) a bit here but it really wasn't much more than I would normally risk hoping to make a relatively small profit at a casino, and the potential payoff was much larger.  No worries at all, I for one appreciate your volunteer efforts.  Thank you!!

eta: One other thought:  the entertainment value is still paying dividends, as evidenced by the fact that the first thing I did when I saw the bitcoin rising story on my newsfeed was to search for this thread and see if I could get the spreadsheet to pull up.  Someday, we'll all be filthy rich off this endeavor.  Until then, we play...the waiting game...
