FantasyScore Staff Sunday Cash Plays Week 7 (1 Viewer)

With another NFL week underway (thanks for putting us all to sleep Seattle and San Francisco) it’s time to take a look at what the staff is thinking about for their lineups at FantasyScore.com.

You can check out all the staff picks here.

Staff Trends

Lotsa Devonta (Freeman)

At this point this should not be a shock, but five out of six staff members are still on the Freeman Train. Even at $8700, it’s hard to shy away. He’s scored over 30 points a game for the last four games (including when the Falcons got pantsed on National TV) and is as sure a thing as you can get in fantasy these days.

Hoppin’ with Hopkins

As with Freeman, Hopkins is on rosters for five of six folks on the staff. Can you blame them? He’s had four straight games where he’s totaled 100 yards or more, and 726 yards over the whole season off of 89 catches. Per our own target tracker, Hopkins is the most targeted receiver by 14 and he is second in the league with 52 catches (one behind Keenan Allen at 53). Expect that against Miami again this week.

Glaring Omissions

No Tom Brady, no Julio Jones, no Rob Gronkowski – all three have been priced out of the market it seems. Last week’s big game by Ben Watson and continued dominance from Antonio Gates seems to have given people some wiggle room to pivot elsewhere.

Diamonds in the Rough

One vote for Christine Michael (by me) and at $3600 when they are saying he’ll get more carries and we know the Cowboys go with the ‘hot hand’ I’m willing to roll the dice and beef up the lineup almost everywhere else.

John Brown ($5200) is also getting some love but he’s almost out of this category. Another big week (three in a row with 15 points or more, last week scoring 29.60) and his price will be too much.

inally, Crockett Gillmore ($2400) is healthy again and the Ravens will have to pass a lot. He should find some room as the defense adjusts and plays tag with Steve Smith.
