FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (14 Viewers)

I took the worst beating of my life betting college hoops on Sunday.

I was on such a cold streak yesterday, I didn't post my evening play, trying to clean up some of the mess I'd made for myself...

...good for you guys. I backed Arkansas State. I mean, at least ONE favorite had to cover yesterday, right? :bag:

That said, gotta keep shooting...

I have a pretty sizeable wager on Iona -4, and 3u on a 3-Team ML parlay: South Dakota St./Davidson/Gonzaga, 3u pays 3.35u...

I think Davidson -7.5 is the most solid play of the night, but after yesterday, I'm gunshy of pulling the trigger on giving heavy chalk to a favorite.

Good Luck, and I hope the collateral damage fallout from yesterdays 'Black Sunday' didn't burn too many for too much.

So I bought me one of them there newfangled smartphones... my fingers are too big to text. I keep pressing two letters at a time.
Get a 12 year old to teach you your way around the phone :bag: and you likely have the ability to talk to it or use swype without having to type!! HTH
Do people do this? I gave it a go and had to turn it off.
I gave up the first time, too, but tried again because people swear by it. It took me a while but now I can't imagine life without it.
So I learned how to Swype in no time. Pretty easy, and much easier than typing letter-by-letter.But then I noticed the microphone icon in the corner. WHY DIDN'T YOU A-HOLES TELL ME I CAN ***SPEAK*** MY TEXTS?

:bag:

The future is here, and I like it. :banned:

NASCAR Kobalt Tools 400 at 2:15 central:McMurray to back with engine change. Menard o McMurray at -150 at 5d. Very hard to pass, especially for a C-class driver. Menard 7th at this race a year ago, excels at this track type.
What sport is this?
Moto Racing: Sprint Cup
I know - I was just kidding. Thanks for the tip, I'll tail along even though I've never seen more than a minute of NASCAR in my life.
Everything else is just a game. I don't play anymore, just passing along the information as I don't think the betting lines reflect the information yet. NASCAR is one of the few sports where the public doesn't always get the most updated or correct information or just blindly plays their favorites anyway. I know a few guys that work on the race teams. NASCAR is MMA 5 years ago value wise.Went 2-0 on the two leans I posted last Sunday.
:hifive: keep posting these!

It's truly embarrassing. I was the last person on earth without a smartphone. My buddies used to ask me if I bought one of them "new microwave things" yet. The coolest thing about this phone is the iHeartRadio and Radio.com apps. I would have gotten a smartphone LONG ago had I known about that alone. I used to be able to listen to Francesa on WFAN only when I was home on my computer, or if I was in the Westerly, RI or Connecticut area in my car. Now with the Radio.com app, I can listen to Tubby wherever I am. iHeart is awesome too. Harvin was traded today, so I was going from Seattle sports talk radio to Minnesota sports talk radio within seconds. I feel like someone from 1821 who got beamed aboard the Starship Enterprise.

lolz

So what other cool apps are there???

To his credit, McMurray did race his best race in the past 2 seasons. Paul ran a great race as well. McMurray's team really screwed up by not taking any tires on one of the early cautions. One of the things with small race teams or inexperienced crew chiefs/members that they have a hard time adapting to track conditions. Las Vegas one of the most notorious tracks for condition changes.I'll be back next week.

How much time do you have? There are a bazillion apps that tell you how many cool apps there are.I just got the new ipad for work and I feel the same way. It has basically made my appraisal inspections paperless, all photos, sketches, everything can be done on site and in the form at the office on my desktop when I get back to the office. Literally saves me at least 30 minutes per assignment. Right now i've added free books which are refreshing me on my spanish, teaching me new stretching positions and of course spotify. YOU MUST HAVE SPOTIFY.

I'm also interested to hear if anyone knows must have ipad apps.

Yay technology!

I knew that sentence seemed awkward. But I was careful not to type "I do a lot of time traveling."

MIAMI HEAT -110 at Sportsbook to win the NBA Championship...

What am I missing here? I expected them to be about -240. Nobody is beating that team.

The state of college basketball is in the shitter, and I'm not sure why.

Gonzaga may be the worst #1 team EVER this late into a season.

They got a technical foul with .1 seconds left after manhattan hit a 3 pointer

Literally one of the worst losses I have seen in awhile

I can't even do anything but laugh

Did I see that right on my espn.com page? Did Iona give up a 5 point play with 1 second left to lose the -4 by 1?
Looks like the refs had Manhattan. :thumbsdown:0:06 52-60 David Laury made Dunk. Assisted by Tavon Sledge.0:01 Shane Richards made Three Point Jumper. Assisted by RaShawn Stores. 55-60 0:01 55-60 Team Technical Foul0:01 Donovan Kates made Free Throw. 56-60 0:01 Donovan Kates made Free Throw. 57-60 0:00 End Game

Brutal loss. The refs called a technical foul on Iona with .1 seconds left after players stepped onto the court when a last second three from Manhattan went in. Unbelievable really

Can someone who was watching explain how I/we just lost this one? Looks like a three-pointer with 0.1 seconds left followed by a "team technical" and 2 made free throws to go from Iona by 8 to Iona by 3. I blame nittanylion.

I have no idea why anyone bets on basketball of any kind.

By anyone I mean...ME
