That was something you don't see every day.Tossing the clone babies back into the lake
Yes.That was something you don't see every day.
Irons...he's the principal bad guy from the movie, right? The one who lived in the snowy tundra?
I thought a half-hour has passed. Love this show.Yes.
Haven't had a frustrated "where did the hour go" like that in a while. Is it normal to be engrossed with what's happening and pouting over the lack of progress being made?
No doubt. She's come a long way since her hoeish ways in Boyz in the HoodI enjoyed it and Regina King always does it for me.
That was so goofily awesome. Also my new favorite superhero is Lube Man
JUST READ THE DAMN GRAPHIC NOVEL YOU WANNA BE COMICS NERDSDefinitely loving the first four episodes but feel like I'm missing a lot of Easter eggs and back story. If a non comic book/movie watcher wants more insight, where would you recommend me going first?
I read the ####### book! (NSFW - language).Definitely loving the first four episodes but feel like I'm missing a lot of Easter eggs and back story. If a non comic book/movie watcher wants more insight, where would you recommend me going first?
I stumbled upon the motion comic and got through it. Is it not the complete graphic novel? Either way, it was pretty good. But seriously, if you're not going to read the comic, the next best thing is to watch the Marvel Motion Comic. It's prolly about 6 hours of content but it's free and *totally* worth it. Movie is... fine, I guess, 2.5 hours there.
Appreciate the link. I thought the comic book was a lot more than 12 issues. Makes reading it much more doable. I'm going to assume the graphic novel is just the issues bundled up in one book? I may just buy that for collection. But seriously, if you're not going to read the comic, the next best thing is to watch the Marvel Motion Comic. Have you read the novel? Hints galore at this point imo. Already the noose. He is only missing a hood.Am I going to hate whatever Louis Gossett Jr., is? I've been on board for almost everything (seriously Jeremy Irons is an acting legend) but his scene this week felt very..... prepare to roll your eyes, is the best way I can describe it.
It’s a follow-up to the comic. It touches on the events of it.So, how true does the series stay to the comic?
i loved the comic but was iffy on watching it.
i would think soI wonder if we will actually see Dr. Manhattan in this. I had just assumed we would.
Probably an obscure graphic novel called "Watchmen" by Alan Moore.Definitely loving the first four episodes but feel like I'm missing a lot of Easter eggs and back story. If a non comic book/movie watcher wants more insight, where would you recommend me going first?
Yep, we cleared this up earlier. Not a big time suck at all. Looking forward to it.Henry Ford said:Probably an obscure graphic novel called "Watchmen" by Alan Moore.

It really is on every single reader’s top 5 list of graphic novels of all time. Probably top 3. And really, if it isn’t #1 I’m suspect of that person.Yep, we cleared this up earlier. Not a big time suck at all. Looking forward to it.
I’d certainly consider being suspect of you, then.I'd also consider MAUS, especially if talking with someone who doesn't read graphic novels
He's the logical choice to have set up Veidt's exile.I wonder if we will actually see Dr. Manhattan in this. I had just assumed we would.
I re-read Miller's The Dark Knight Returns last year. It didn't hold up well for me.It really is on every single reader’s top 5 list of graphic novels of all time. Probably top 3. And really, if it isn’t #1 I’m suspect of that person.
Yeah, it's still great but it isn't really in contention with Watchmen. I think I even prefer Year One to Returns these days.I re-read Miller's The Dark Knight Returns last year. It didn't hold up well for me.
I finished watchmen. It’s great but the writing is a bit overwrought for me. Needed some editing.Yeah, it's still great but it isn't really in contention with Watchmen. I think I even prefer Year One to Returns these days.
It's a comic book. That's how they roll.I finished watchmen. It’s great but the writing is a bit overwrought for me. Needed some editing.
You think that's dramatic, read Cris Claremont's God Loves, Man Kills X-Men graphic novel.I finished watchmen. It’s great but the writing is a bit overwrought for me. Needed some editing.
