Maybe not a big deal, but why would Petrino pass on a guy he coached for basically the same player. Granted one is a DE and the other is a DT, but still

Then how are they the same player if they dont even play the same position? They lost Kearney outside but still have Coleman inside. Anderson is a better fit.

Strong side end is a much bigger and immediate need than undertackle. Chauncey Davis, Paul Carrington, and Josh Mallard aren't getting it done. John Abraham is the DL equivalent of Dan Morgan. There are a few players who might have filled that bill later, but Anderson has Michael Strahan type potential.

I think the shark move here is to let someone else develop him for a few years and then sign him in FA or trade for him when he busts in Houston for just being a lil young and undersized. They'll also have Mario Williams and if he doesn't contribute early (which I don't thin he will) It should be easy to rape the Texans again :mattschaub:
