Why? He’s got an immediate pathway to lots of snaps. While this backfield looks like a full blown committee, Brooks has the talent to become the primary runner pretty early on. The staff and front office have no allegiance to either Hubbard or Sanders.
I have little confidence in the organization as a whole, it's well documented on this board I was not a fan of Bryce Young. Last year was a clown show in Carolina.
They have made some changes, we'll see how it turns out. I have my doubts.
Don't doubt Brooks talent. The only thing that held him back in this draft was his ACL injury. He's 21 years old and very young. Has many more years ahead of him.
Latest he goes in SF is early 2nd but most will have him going end of first round. It is a great landing spot as he's better than Sanders and Hubbard. He can also take his time getting back to 100% playing behind Hubbard to start the year.
By mid/end season I bet its the Brooks show. Again, assuming he makes a full recovery, getting Brooks at 1.12/2.01 area is a steal.
