Just ask your local neighborhood Burger King franchise owner how valuable he is.

Not at all. I do not own CJ this year but he has helped me significantly in the past. The key is to have some consistent scorers (and let's be real, everyone has down weeks and no one puts up a consistent number every week) coupled with some guys who can blow up and single handedly win you a week and CJ is clearly that latter kind of back.Consistency is important in H2H. Those of you who love CJ2K obviously have lots of time on your hands, since you're long past worrying about winning your league.

What a dildo lol.I don't think they are looking at Greene as a goal line back.I think Ten has had it with CJ and from what I heard the plan was for them to split carries from the beginning of the season had Greene not been injured.CJ kinda always earned his bones between the 20's didn't he? Long TD runs and catches on screens. He's never really been a goal line guy.
I don't see how Greene is gonna be any more of a TD vulture than Jamie Harper and Javon Ringer have been over the last few seasons.
I seriously doubt he suddenly becomes Lendale White from 2008.
Let's face it CJ is not a good RB ... the stars aligned for one flukey season. He's like the Rob Deer or Dave Kingman of RBs ... if he ain't hittin a homerun he ain't hittin the ball.
Gotta feelin CJ owners are going to be real disappointed.
New Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt said he likes what he's seen out of Shonn Greene on tape.
With Chris Johnson almost certainly getting his walking papers, Greene is penciled in as the Titans' starter. And Whiz seems fine with that even though the bowling ball shaped ex-Jet has averaged a pedestrian 4.01 YPC over the last four seasons and battled knee issues last year. Ideally, the Titans will add talent to compete with Greene via the draft and/or free agency. But for now, we can't rule out a two-down plus short-yardage role.

Shonn Greene - RB - Titans
Shonn Greene has been cleared for training camp following his May knee scope.
Greene has twice undergone arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in less than a year, but he recovered quickly and is poised to vie for carries with rookie Bishop Sankey. As is, the Titans appear to be tentatively planning on a three-man backfield with Greene as the short-yardage and early-down pounder, Sankey as the all-purpose lead back, and Dexter McCluster in the passing-back role.
Coach Ken Whisenhunt said Shonn Greene is his No. 1 back right now because he's the most experienced.
Whisenhunt filled out his initial depth chart based mostly on seniority. Therefore, Greene is on top, followed by Dexter McCluster and then rookie Bishop Sankey. The chart is mostly meaningless, but it won't squash RBBC concerns in Tennessee. Greene is a pounder and Sankey does his best work in space.

Shonn Greene suffered a right knee injury in Friday night's preseason game.
Greene fumbled after taking a hit from Kenny Vaccaro in the second quarter and had to be helped off the field. He finished with nine carries for 46 yards before exiting. If Greene misses time, it could create an opportunity for Bishop Sankey to overtake him on early downs.
RB18 in 2011.Low end RB2 seems optimistic.
sarcasm?I love rostering guys like Greene as depth beyond my RB 2. I've got him rostered in 3 leagues, all WW pickups from last year or the year before. I guess people are down on him because he's looked so bad in preseason and Sankey is stealing so much 1st team work.

Which part? The first 2 sentences, no. Maybe just a smidgeon on the last sentence...hines said:sarcasm?Bronco Billy said:I love rostering guys like Greene as depth beyond my RB 2. Coach Ken Whisenhunt indicated Shonn Greene will likely continue to play a minimal role in the Titans' offense.
Tennessee is playing three receivers as its base offense, utilizing "11" on 70 percent of its snaps this season. Bishop Sankey is the Titans' primary back in "11" personnel. Greene only gets carries in two-tight end sets. Greene played just two snaps in Week 8, prior to the Titans' Week 9 bye.
