The Signal (Netflix) is a German limited series, just 4 episodes long. It's essentially a long movie. I'm 3 episodes in and interested to see how it ends - this could have been a really crappy 8-episode show, but at 4 episodes, it's not too rambly.
I thought it ended well. Some surprises, but they made sense.
finished and thought it was really good.

I liked it, decent companion to Apple's Constellation.

I'm probaly the only guy that didn't care for NV that much. I like 3 and 4 so much better.

Also after thinking about it, the Fallout TV show is good but not great, IMHBO.

Since I don't subscribe to Netflix I decided to check out the 30 episode Chinese version of Three Body (Three Body Problem on NF) on Peacock.

I'm very intrigued.

We just finished both seasons of Carnival Row. While obviously not up to Game of Thrones standards, it was an enjoyable action/fantasy series.
Enjoyed that one, 2nd season was pretty rushed but was happy that they got the opportunity to end it and tie everything up.
It's kind of underrated.. even if it's not tip top TV. Great world building and some enjoyable performances and storylines for fantasy fans.

Does Fallout ever get a plot going? 2 episodes in and the plot is about as thin as in the games which is not good for a show.
Yea, I'm 2 episodes in waiting for it to hit great.. I'll keep on keeping on, but right now on my .. "Will watch next episode when nothing else is interesting".

Only 2 episodes into Beef but I'm really liking it.
That's pretty much the peak of it
made it through like 5 episodes and just hated it

Yeah it wasn’t great.
Crap. I really liked the first episode.
If you liked the first episode continue on with it. The earlier episodes are better, but the last few episodes aren't terrible.

ETA: Just know that it's the type of show where, by design, all characters end up being unlikeable (which is part of the point).

Baby Reindeer was nuts.

Sometimes hysterical, sometimes terrifying, sometimes disturbing...but incredibly authentic storytelling
Has anyone else watched this? Debating starting it this weekend….
Yes. @TheDirtyWord describes it accurately. Just know it's not a light watch. Also, know that the actor playing the protagonist is the real guy from the real events that occurred that the show is based on.

Exactly where I am. I saw the 2nd episode about 2 weeks ago and haven't felt into watching another but I'm sure I will eventually.

for me it wasn't "the characters are unlikable" it was "this all just sucks"

Damn

Just finished Shogun and thoroughly enjoyed it.
wrapped episode 3 and pretty sure that's as far as i'm making it

tons of potential. beautiful costuming and cinematography.. and i know it's based on a book... but it's too cliche and made for tv. not explaining it well but it's missing something for me.

I was listening to a podcast and somebody said Baby Reindeer is like a male version of the HBO show "I May Destroy You". Everyone on the pod that had seen both shows said it was a very apt description.
I found "I May Destroy You" to be a tough watch at times, so I'm reluctant to start Baby Reindeer.

Anyone else watching From? I think it’s only on MGM+ but good mix of mystery and horror. We just started S2
We watched the 1st season when it was on TV. Don't have mgm, and our daughter is dying to watch it. Fun wth is going on here show.

That Matt Dillon show... Something Pines?... Had a similar vibe and was equally fun.

I watched it about 3 weeks ago, and I knew the series was based on a true story, but I didn't know the lead actor was the real person in the true story. I liked him a lot. He was good at playing himself (Donny).
I thought it was interesting how Martha's derangement brought out conflicting emotions in Donny, which exposed the cracks in his own mental health.

Just binge it in a month for $5.99 or 7 days for free

And yes wayward pines I was trying to remember the name of that

Finished S2 a couple of months ago and I'm really looking forward to S3. Liked it a lot and thought it was kind of Lost-ish. I just hope they don't drag it out and it gets canceled before it's actually wrapped up.

Really liked this too. Looks like S3 is set for fall of this year.

That Unfrosted movie with Seinfeld on Netflix is kinda corny. Lots of big names in it but the jokes just aren’t there. Do not approve.

Any Resident Alien fans? Season 4 looks to be in "flux"

Seems fine - I like the show but it probably could/should have been 1-2 seasons.
I'm in the middle of S2 and it's still pretty good. Does it fall off a lot in S3?
