not a fan of american cheese. avoid it at all costs. if they have anything else i would try it (i like 1000 island and grilled onions).Does no one here get their fries animal style at In-n-out? That's why I voted for them.
Jesus guys do your homework.
Grew up allergic to Poultry. Found out about a year ago that I outgrew the allergy. The clouds opened and the sunlight shone on my deflated heart...Why? It's the only thing they're good for.I only started eating chicken about a year ago.
Wendy's is solid for fast food... They don't do anything great, but they do everything good.Chick-fil-a chicken sammich >>>> any other chicken sammich. Although I agree with John, Wendy's spicy chicken > Chick-fil-a spicy chicken. For some reason chick-fil-a doesn't have that down yet, IMO.

When visiting my dad in Montana last year, we made a stop in Missoula at the Five Guys. Everything there tasted just as good as the Five Guys Ive been to on the east coast. I actually remember the sign even saying the fries were from fresh Idaho potatoes as well, not sure any east coast 5G's Ive been to had Idaho potatoes or not, but the fries were great as usual. My first five guys experience was a few years ago at the DC airport. It was better than I-N-O, indisputably. However, based on my positive experience, I began to seek them out on the west coast. I was underwhelmed. Every time. One of two things is happening - either their QC has gone downhill as they have expanded, or they're just having issues out West. In-n-Out doesn't have the sprawl that FG has, but you seem to get the same product every time, regardless of location.
YMMV, but I gotta stick with INO.
Usually Idaho potatoes in NYC... Some times they mix it up, Omaha OmahaWhen visiting my dad in Montana last year, we made a stop in Missoula at the Five Guys. I actually prefer regular sized fries cuz they have more crispy surface. Crinkle fries and criss-cross fries are even better. But I like potato wedges only when they have the skin on them.Went to Fuddruckers tonight. Love the big steak fries. Great burger.
that melted cheese turns to a cold hard pile of goo in a hurry.Does no one here get their fries animal style at In-n-out? That's why I voted for them.

My favorite burger too. It gets overshadowed by the italian beef and their dogs, but it's a damn fine burger. It's also about the only place I can think of where the cheese-less burger rivals the cheeseburger.Six pages? Wow.
Not on the list, but my favourite burger is Portillo's in Chicago. Very underrated IMHO.
Just ordering them well done makes them much betterDoes no one here get their fries animal style at In-n-out? That's why I voted for them.

One in the doorI guess I need to finally try Five Guys if it's beating In N Out here
It is beating In N Out because probably half of the poll respondents have never eaten at this chain, which is not nationwide with most stores being on the West CoastI guess I need to finally try Five Guys if it's beating In N Out here
Went out of my way to eat there in SF & was highly unimpressed by the burger...It is beating In N Out because probably half of the poll respondents have never eaten at this chain, which is not nationwide with most stores being on the West CoastI guess I need to finally try Five Guys if it's beating In N Out here
Yeah, Carl's Jr is definitely stronger than McD/BK/Wendy'sNo Jack In the Box or Carl's Jr/Hardee's? Fail
Same here but what is the cost in this feast?I'm in.
If you're paying an entire dollar for a shoe sole, you should be beaten half to death in front of your children, and then have the skin flayed from your back by Magnus Magnuson of the World's Strongest Man competition while you listen to Macklemore on repeat.Same here but what is the cost in this feast?I'm in.
Some here only seem to be able to afford a dollar menu shoe sole.
No doubt....sounds amazing.BonerBack in the mid-90's I lived in Denver a couple of miles between Store #1 and #2 or a local "burrituria" called Chipotle Mexican Grill. We all know the story of their growth from those first 2 restaurants.
I preface that story because there is a local "burger" joint place in Boise that is in the early stage of franchising out of Idaho to other states...and I think the concept is quite unique. It's called the Boise Fry Company. The tag line is "Burger on the Side."
The Burger at BFC is outstanding yet pretty simple. You have basically 3 choices. Beef is local and grassfed or Bison. There is also a vegan alternative. Great bun, and prep. I would rate the burger 9 out of 10...and far superior to 5 Guys or Smash or any other chain.
But what separates BFC apart are the fries. When you enter you are met with a menu of Fry choices. Off the top of my head you will have a choice of:
Russet, Sweet Potato, Yukon Gold, Purple, Laura, or Yam. In addition you have you choice of how you want those fires prepared. Regular, Homestyle, Shoestring, Curly, Tots. You can also have them fried in duck oil if you desire.
The fries come served in a bowl -plain. At the condiment "bar" you have a choice of "salts" and "ketchups". Maybe 5-10 different types of salts (regular, smoked, venegar..." The same goes for their ketchups (regular, spicy, fry sauce, chipotle, blueberry, aioli, thai aioli, garlic..." The fries are KILLER!
Like Chipotle you can get a beer at BFC too.
BFC is in the early stages of moving to "out of Idaho" locations. With the first 2 being in Austin TX and Portland OR. Expansion will be somewhat limited by their ability to source the potatoes. Similar to how Chipotle expansion was limited by their (in)ability to source their ingredients.
Like Chipotle stood head and shoulders of all other fast food Mexican restaurants...so does BFC...and if you are in Austin, Portland or Boise...you should try them out. Would be a pretty cool story to see them become the "CMG" of Burgers and Fries.
Think the burger is $7. Bison is $8. No clue what the vegan is. Small bowl of fries which would be a large anywhere else is $2.75ish (cost might vary depending on potato). Large bowl would be $3.75ish and is big enough for 2 people to share no problem.Same here but what is the cost in this feast?I'm in.

So cost is similar to Chipotle with a side of chips.
Edit: just checked their web site: Beef burger is $5.69. Bison is $7.49. Vegan is $6.49.
