The Russia Investigation: Trump Pardons Flynn (5 Viewers)

So in line with this narrative or maybe driving it... President Bigboy went on another tweeter tear this am - 8 count'em 8 tweets attacking CNN or attempting collusion/obstruction comps.

Also included: 'Mark Levin: The collusion is among the Democrats'. Because colluding in weaponizing hot data with a foreign foe is exactly the same as an American political party.

Hey y'all, spies aren't bad guys, they're just unregistered outside political consultants yaknow.
Kicking the propaganda up to 11 the last few days.  There must be something about to drop out there they are trying to get ahead of.

I agree with this -- But the big difference  to me is Obama (albeit to a fault) was trying to protect the system and not create discord/distrust while Trump is at least a) outright denying Russia intervention and worse b) colluded with them -- those are not in the same universe
Yup. I think Obama made a big mistake with how he handled the Russia hacking prior to the election. But the way he was proceeding showed actual leadership and actual consideration for our country. Despite that, he did make an egregious mistake in my opinion.

That being said, reading about how McConnell was obstructing Obama's desire to investigate further is pretty repugnant. Or further repugnant in McConnell's case.

Do you know anything about actual Pravda? Odd comp to be making, considering, you know....
A reference to Soviet era Pravda, a propaganda outlet for international socialists, would be most appropriate.

Trump's pretty easy to figure out. When he starts lashing out on Twitter at shadows and monsters (usually represented by Obama and/or Hillary) it's a pretty good sign the WH knows something else is about to hit the fan against them.

CNN made an error in reporting. They fired all of the people involved. Isn't that what's supposed to happen? It seems to me that this (the firing) is proof of the integrity of CNN, not the other way around.
By means of comparison, has Alex Jones (you know, one of the guys Trump holds in high esteem) been fired yet for all of the complete lies he's made up?

Thanks to CNN the Russian narrative is D.O.A.  Even if there is any truth to it, everyone will dismiss it simply because it has been lumped in with the really fake news Network.
I think you have a warped understanding of the word "everyone."  Everyone you listen to maybe.  But not everyone in the country.  You live in an echo chamber where everybody has all declared him the messiah and beyond reproach.  You can't even fathom that he possibly did something wrong.

What news organization does he work for?
Oh let's be clear about something - Jones does not work for a legitimate news organization of any kind.

No matter how badly millions, including Trump, believe Info Wars is a reputable source of information.

Most on the right trust Russian state news more than the independent media in America at this point.
Recent posts in this thread paint a rather depressing picture that reinforces what you just said.

I still believe the alt.right movement will prove to be short-lived in terms of the victory they've sustained elevating lies above facts in our country. But the two Trump threads in this forum show how far we still need to go to restore sanity in our country and arrive at a point where facts are once again facts that all will agree upon.

Yeah, it is mostly the alt-right.  For now though, the run of the mill partisans and GOP politicians aren't exactly siding against it.

Nope. Party over country combined with the rise of propaganda and denial of truth is a powerful and dangerous combination.

A good point:

If Page spent ten hours talking with the FBI without an attorney, you can bet he lied at least *once*. And if he lied once, it's a *felony*.

It is a good point but we're at a period when felonies, perjury, obstruction, conflicts of interest etc. appear to mean nothing. Or at least considerably less then they did not long ago.

They also seem confused that there's a difference between reporters making a mistake and those who conjure up blatant lies to push forth propaganda.

There's a rather huge difference there in fact.
Right. "OMG www.liberalsaresatan.com says there's nothing to see here!!"
