TRUMP TO INFINITY AND BEYOND HQ - The Great and Positive Place (1 Viewer)

You referenced wage growth in the 80s and 90s . That article disputes that.
Actually it doesn't.

But regardless, here's a link to a chart showing nominal wage growth from '98 - current.  I'm having trouble easily finding further back but regardless,  nominal wage growth was constantly 4%+ and 5% until the great recession.  We're a long way from that now, with a bigly, booming economy, greatest of all time, record low unemployment, and we barely touch 3%.  Move that 3% up to historical 5% levels and Joe sixpack will be greatly impacted.

Increases in the stock market?  Not so much.

SAD Nominal Wage Growth

It says there was a long slide in the 80s and early 90s.  You said there was wage growth.

It's early. Other than Sleepy Joe, there is not much action on the D side. Wait until they start insulting each other, them Trump will ramp up the rhetoric.
Same material from 4 years ago. Pretty boring stuff. They even did the drain the swamp and lock her up chants

He's older, fatter, and been exposed as all hat no cattle. Republicans whipped in midterms, he got duped by Kim Jong, served by Nancy and Chuck on his wall, etc.
All of this may be true, but I'll give him credit for showing more perk than when he's interviewed by Fox News. It's kind of like watching a washed-up rock band at the county fair -- he's playing all the hits and saying "Hello Cleveland!" and his aging fans are eating up every minute of it.

From the guy with a Joe Biden sticker on the right side of his rear window and a Bernie Sanders one on the left.  :lmao:

Bring in the new blood! :lmao:

The article does not state that 63 more miles were awarded. You are misreading.

Regardless, there's no way to get to 400 from what Shanahan said.
319 and counting!  It's just over 10 million dollars a mile.  It's going to be a glorious wall!

Spoken like a true David Duke supporter.
Pointing out the hypocrisy of the typical left gets a childish response like this? You are pretty pathetic, maybe you will can act better than calling people white nationalist fans if we get some fresh blood like Bernie in there? No more washed up rock bands like Trump.  :lmao:

Sorry Bieber.
Oh I'm sorry, I thought we were playing the "Falsely accuse someone of supporting a politician" game.

Doesn't feel so good to be on the other side, does it?

Feels fine, typical left.

I'm an ex-Republican, a Never Trumper. Kasich was my first choice, followed by Gilmore.

I categorically oppose socialism and I don't care for Bernie Sanders. In fact I've criticized him and his supporters dozens of times in this forum.

I'm no fan of Bideneither. But I'll take him over Trump, gladly.

Perhaps if you spent more time contributing to this forum (instead of making knee-jerk, hit-and-run "typical left" posts), you wouldn't have made such a fool of yourself here.

You are whining about Trump coming across as washed up yet the only legit candidates to oppose him are the 2 mentioned and pushing 100 years old (Bernie maybe 105?)......maybe you shouldn't make such a fool of yourself?

Oh and I know you aren't left but your only alternatives are unless you are voting  Gary Johnson again.

If you dont think Trump is way out of his league regarding war I pity you.  He has no idea.  He is telling you this.

He is so scared. Way out of his league.

One of the few posters I have on ignore, so I missed this.  If you want to make derogatory clown posts, there are lots of places in the PSF that welcome these types of insults.  This is not one of those places.

First two points you bolded are fact. Trump points these things out about other candidates and people on Twitter so both these things seem relevant to his fans.

The third is debatable but I gave a few examples of where he tells us something then doesn't deliver - all hat no cattle.

His crowd was doing cheers from years ago at the pep rally the other day. Seemed very low energy.

Meaningless.

He has no shot in states where people own land, drive cars, and get their hands dirty. This is where the election will be won or lost.

Besides, he will be eliminated in the quarterfinals on his side of the bracket.

Biden is the only one that can beat Trump in battleground states, so obviously it would be great to see Mayor Pete make a Cinderella run to the finals.

Why do you think this?  I mean I’m honestly asking?

Do people not own land in blue states? Drive cars?  Or get their hands dirty?

Do people who do those things not respect his service to his community and stare?  What about the areas you are trying to describe can he not relate to?

Don’t agree that Biden is the only one, but I do agree that he has the best shot.

I think Pete would present unique problems to Trump and I’d love to see it. But I just don’t see how he wins the nomination. As I’ve pointed out so many times, you need southern black support to win the Democratic nomination. Pete has zero such support.

Do you think he will easily win Iowa or all the other big farming states?  I know plenty of farmers that will still vote for him and I'm guessing he'll be the favorite but he really has not helped out these states at all so far.

Yes, because a Mayor elected in a rust belt city where many people work at AM General, or for the RV industry, and has a rich historical heritage of the Studebaker plants doesn't have any idea how to appeal to that crowd.

Mayor Pete has never been part of big campaign.  Therefore, he has never been scrutinized like any of the other candidates.  If he makes it that far, you have to assume that scrutiny and exposure of his private life is coming.

308th largest city in America.  Do they even have a dog shelter?

You have a very low opinion of people who own land, drive cars, and get their hands dirty.

Not at all.  Actually the exact opposite.
In your first post, you wrote that Mayor Pete has no shot in states where people own land, drive cars, and get their hands dirty. Presumably because they won't vote for him.

When asked to expand on that, you wrote that " If he makes it that far, you have to assume that scrutiny and exposure of his private life is coming." Undoubtedly you are referring to his sexuality, no?

Thus it appears you are saying that people who own land, drive cars, and get their hands dirty won't vote for him because he's gay. That seems like a pretty bad thing to believe about those people.

Not at all. You are putting the words you want to put in my mouth for your own nefarious reasons.  Reality is the mayor of the 308th largest city in America has never been scrutinized by a statewide or nationwide campaign.  If he makes it to the general election stuff is going to come up that was never investigated before.

No I'm not. I'm making reasonable conclusions from what you wrote. Filling in the blanks, if you will.

What did you mean, then, by "If he makes it that far, you have to assume that scrutiny and exposure of his private life is coming?"

That didn’t answer anything I asked you or the assertions you made.

We can discuss Pete in his thread of you'd rather not muck up this thread.

However, his private life vs Trumps? Trump also had not been in a national campaign til last time.  You seem to be making arguments that people made in favor of Hillary and against Trump last time as a reason Pete can’t win.

It’s common sense.  His finances, his military record, who he has dated, etc.

You can’t be that obtuse?  Heck, the political world stopped spinning over a SCOTUS nominee allegedly groping a girl in high school.

I’m not obtuse. I’m just trying to imagine what personal life issues would cause someone to instead vote for Donald Trump.

I mean, if the people you mentioned care about those issues ...

I have a 40 acre hobby farm, drive a truck (and tractor, 4 wheeler, dirt bikes, snowmobiles), currently have dirt under a couple of my finger nails (I know, this would repulse Trump and his kids) and he has my attention.

I don't understand how Trump supporters can say that someone doesn't have a chance against Trump due to lack of political experience or dirt from their personal lives.

Maybe if he was running against Satan incarnate.  Which I suppose is who the right wing media machine will have painted them as prior to election day.

I’m quite sure if a recording came out with Mayor Pete saying he grabs men by the #### the pro-Trump crowd would agree that’s just locker room talk and find no issues with it.

Obviously a silly analogy as Trump has been an icon and in the public eye longer than the mayor of the 308th largest city in America has been alive.

Obviously a silly perspective here. The analogy is very direct.  Being in the public eye, for however long, should have nothing to do with evaluating that statement.

Icon?  Do icons go on Howard Stern and wrestle mania?  Do they create their own steak and college brands?  Trump is quite literally the male Kim Kardashian.

Re: first bolded-Yes. Lots....Paul McCartney, Bill Murray, Chris Rock, Billy Joel, David Letterman, and on and on

Re: Second bolded- Couldn't agree more, in fact he paved the way.

Paul McCartney was just on Stern. Mohammed Ali was at WrestleMania....NEXT.
Lmfao.  Trump was a regular on Stern, actual icons make rare appearances.  And if you’re going to argue that Wrestle mania is anything but a place for b grade celebs (and no Ali doesn’t change this), then I don’t know what to tell you.  Trump has been a joke and caricature of a rich guy his whole public life.  Gold toilets?  Many wives and public affairs?

Mr. Kim Kardashian is all he ever was.

Paul McCartney was just on Stern. Mohammed Ali was at WrestleMania....NEXT.
lol, Trump either called in or was on Stern's show almost 50 times.  Roughly the same number of times as Beetlejuice, Eric the Midget, and Hank the dwarf.

My bad, clearly Trump was running in some icon territory there.

And the list of the other "icons" that have graced wrestlemania is too SAD to even note.  Ali, btw, appeared on the very first one, when wrestlemania was itself an icon.  Ol' Trump actually participated in #23.

SAD beyond belief.

Troll comments are not welcome in this thread.  Joe has been pretty adamant about us self-policing posters that add no value except trying to get a reaction.  I think there are better threads for your POV.

I will say that I like Trump's seemingly measured response against Iran.  I don't like the fact that he pulled out of the deal, and probably brought some of these issues onto himself, but at least he's not just listening to Bolton without regard to consequences.

What would you want to see out of a candidate in regards to these three things?  Your boy Trump has a bad record on all three and it didn't seem to move the needle for people.
Apparently being some kind of "Icon" is what makes the difference.  That's what we've been told at least.

Upon getting completely owned because he did not research ahead of his comment, he moves the goal posts and rips off 3 straight replies to the ownage. 'oh, well, Trump was on there 'x' many times so take that'. 'Trump was on WrestleMania blah blah blah so take that'. :lmao:  That is awesome how he is embarrassing himself in this thread.

Owned because of Stern's thousands of guests, a few were actually icons?  And because one actual icon appeared on wrestlemania?  That means that those two programs weren't almost exclusively the stomping grounds of class B and C celebs?

Man oh man oh man it's no wonder Trump has you folks in his pocket.
