Stayed there in mid-February and was VERY pleased with the second room I got. They might offer you a choice between the renovated tower (can't remember if it was the North or the South one), with no view of the Bellagio fountains, or the unrenovated tower with a view of the fountains. Do NOT take the unrenovated one. The renovated rooms were quite nice and rather large. Location of the hotel is outstanding. Overall I'd highly recommend it, and it always seems to be a great value.Anyone stayed at Bally's lately? Good? Bad? Meh? I'm heading to LV May 19th-22nd and hotels are outrageous $$$ for the 19th. is something going on there that Monday? Anyway, Bally's looks reasonable. TIA.

They had a $5 craps table running at 8pm on a Saturday when I was down there for March Madness....so they've got that going for them.Hooters is the suck. They just took a run down facility, dressed it up with the Hooters name and put in a Hooters restaurant.
Glad it worked out for you....never really heard a report....Mandalay was an absolute blast - heaven basically.
follow this advice if you're old.Honestly not joking or trying to be rude either....old people will probably like downtown. Young(and single) people will probably hate it.Once you've experienced that huge pain in the ### called "the Strip", check out downtown where you can actually walk to different places in a matter of seconds. Less expensive. You don't have all the themes, but I've seen them all and they do nothing for me.Golden Nugget is a nice enough place for me. And I walk around to different casinos and restaurants without the hassle.
hypothetically of course. but id say the odds are in the house's favor here.Let's say you see a 26 year-old, attractive, local in a little low cut dress (showing off 36DDs) sitting alone at bar-top video poker outside Pure nightclub... What are the odds that she's not a prostitute?
I just wish some of my other long shot bets had panned out this well.hypothetically of course. but id say the odds are in the house's favor here.Let's say you see a 26 year-old, attractive, local in a little low cut dress (showing off 36DDs) sitting alone at bar-top video poker outside Pure nightclub... SW at the Wynn has the best combination of food and atmosphere I've seen in Vegas. Request and outdoor table. Other good places are Prime at the Bellagio, Delmonico at the Venetian, Stripsteam at Mandalay.Where would you go for a really great meal in Vegas these days? Am already doing Bouchon on Friday, but need something for Saturday. Cost/value is not an issue--just want something as good as possible. Thanks.

I cvan't stand the gambling there, but the shops and clubs and restaraunts are top notch. The Bellagio poker room is nearby but I have another recommendation: TONS of fish right across the street at the Flamingo. 5 minute walk and much looser/easier game.Anyone have any suggestions for Caesars? Never stayed there before and going for a work thing on Wednesday.Just got back from Mandalay last week--had a great time.
Not a pro. I repeat, not a pro. Though to be honest a certain skill of hers had me wondering. I would have thought locals would be sick of d-bag tourists hitting on them... apparently not.wait. she wasnt a pro? details stu..I just wish some of my other long shot bets had panned out this well.hypothetically of course. but id say the odds are in the house's favor here.Let's say you see a 26 year-old, attractive, local in a little low cut dress (showing off 36DDs) sitting alone at bar-top video poker outside Pure nightclub... I had comped rooms reserved there for June 13-15, but decided to move over to the venetian.Anyone check out the Palazzo yet? Staying there in September.
Any reason?I heard that the Palazzo is a higher end Venetian. All suites.I had comped rooms reserved there for June 13-15, but decided to move over to the venetian.Anyone check out the Palazzo yet? Staying there in September.
2 reasons1. I've heard there is limited gaming in the casino2. My grandparents and parents are going out there and I could only get a single comped room, the rate per night for a second and third room was high compared to the Venetian. I'm sure I'll walk through it on my way to the Wynn so I'll give you a report.Any reason?I heard that the Palazzo is a higher end Venetian. All suites.I had comped rooms reserved there for June 13-15, but decided to move over to the venetian.Anyone check out the Palazzo yet? Same owner, you walk through the Palazzo mall to get to the Venetian, not sure if it matters if you're there or the Venetian.Any reason?I heard that the Palazzo is a higher end Venetian. All suites.I had comped rooms reserved there for June 13-15, but decided to move over to the venetian.Anyone check out the Palazzo yet? Great place. May be the best one off the strip. Mostly a locals casino. If not mentioned, the Red Rock resort on the NW edge of the city is a great place. My wife and I stayed there recently. If you've got a car, it's easy to hop on route 215 and drive 20-25 minutes into the city (where you can pick your spot and park for free). Lotta nice young gals serving drinks and running blackjack tables out at the large pool complex. It's obviously not right in the heart of the action, but in some respects, that's appealing. The prices are excellent and the rooms are incredibly nice.
are you a hooker?Have fun Dr. Watson...where are you staying...and how old are you?
Hello Dr. I will miss you by a week--going for a bachelor party at Mandalay.Coming back to Chicago?Going there this Friday through Monday...first time and I can't wait.
No, was just going to point out a few other places to check out near where he was staying.are you a hooker?Have fun Dr. Watson...where are you staying...and how old are you?
Thanks...I'm sure I will. We're staying at the Flamingo and I'm 35Have fun Dr. Watson...where are you staying...and how old are you?
That's sucks...we almost moved it back a week. Don't know about Chicago...pretty finished up that project, but they may find something else for me to do sometime...I'll let you know.Hello Dr. I will miss you by a week--going for a bachelor party at Mandalay.Coming back to Chicago?Going there this Friday through Monday...first time and I can't wait.
The Flamingo is a great location on the strip...right in the center of everything. Just don't try to see and do everything the first time. There is a little place called O'Sheas, right next to the Flamingo. If it's not to hot, it can be a fun place to gamble as you are practically outside on a couple of their blackjack and craps tables.Thanks...I'm sure I will. South end is cool...it just makes getting to mid strip a little more time consuming. The hotels on that end have enough to offer to make up for it. Make sure to take your son to M&M World, next to the MGM. Also the Aquarium at Mandalay would be good for a 4 yr old too. For gambling I like Mandalay and Luxor both. NYNY has several nice places to hang out with the wife as well.Trip planned for the beginning of September with wife and son (4). Now before I get the "holier than thou" crowd, we are meeting my parents in Vegas and will be using them nightly as a babysitter. Staying at Mandalay Bay for the first time. We usually stay at the TI or other properties mid-strip so I'm a little about a hotel at the way south end.
The palazzo is a beautiful hotel and attached to the Venetian. I stayed at the Venetian last month and from what I here the rooms are pretty much the same  The Venetian has some awesome house bands that play nightly, so if you can't find anything in the palazzo then just walk over there.Any reviews of the Palazzo yet? With all the news of how Vegas is hurting for tourism we called to check on our room there in September and managed to get a larger suite at half the price of the original room.
