Week 16 Venting Thread (2 Viewers)

I woke up this morning and saw that on our cbssports live scoring, Percy Harvin had a big 0 in his stat line. I thought I had won and held off my opponent. I was able to cling to my 6 point lead going into the Bears - Vikings game. Yes!!!!!!

Then I thought, let me just go and check a stat line or box score just to be sure. Of course, to my EXTREME DISAPPOINTMENT, I see he scored 8 points, 4 catches for 40 yards as per the nfl.com page. The same was reported at cbssports.com, so I guess the cbssports.com livescoring is screwed up. Uggh!!

To make it all the worse, my son, who plays in my league told me on Christmas night before the Chargers-Titans game that I should start Sproles instead of LT. And I blew him off. Damn. What a let down. Sproles 6 more points would have given me the win. Cmon Man!!!!

In the semifinal matchup, I was up 1 going into last night, with the Vikings D vs. his Matt Forte.

I was the higher seed and thus had homefield advantage, which is used as the tiebreaker. (don't really like this rule, but I digress.)

When the game was 30-30, my opponent and I were tied, so if the Vikings had just won in OT, I would have won. But the Bears TD in OT dropped me down 2 points and therefore a loss.

Also could have won if Dallas Clark had just had 1 more reception for 3 yards, or if I had started Crosby instead of Graham. Why do I play this game?

:wall: :wall:

Dear Derrick Mason,

Losing by 5.3 points really sucks (in the championship) but it hurts worse when you know a usually sure handed WR drops a td pass when he is wide open in the end zone. Due to your ineptness when it matters Mr Mason, I will have to settle for 2nd place and a lot less cash!

Sincerely,

Jaded DM Owner

Tough loss for me in our Championship match. I lost by a score of 106.68 to 106.28. One missed extra point on Monday night cost me the championship. Or, an additional 4 rushing or receiving yards from ALL of my starters combined. Here are the details:

In week 14 Kurt Warner threw for 178 yards, had 2 interceptions and lost a fumble against SF on Monday night. That netted me a measly 4.12 points. If he had just gotten me 8 points that week I would have won the league title for the third year in a row.
