12 team redraft league, starting 1 DB, 1DL and 1 D

1 pt per solo tackle

0.25 pt per assisted tackle

3 pts per sack

2.5 pts per pass defended

6 pts per interception

4 pts per forced fumble

2 pts per fumble recovery

6 pts per touchdown

I'm starting J.J. Watt. My Linebackers: Khalil Mack and Clay Matthews. I waited to pick DB in the last round and missed the pick. CB Terrence Newman (MIN) @SF was autopicked. So, should I claim CB Kyle Fuller or S Eric Weddle in the waiver wire?

Kyle Fuller: GB, ARI, @SEA, OAK, @KC, @DET, bye,

Eric Weddle: DET, @CIN, @MIN, CLE, PIT, @GB, OAK, @BAL, CHI, bye

Week 1 opponent's DB: David Bruton Jr vs BAL

Week 1 opponent's D: S Andrew Sendejo @SF

Should I start Mack (vs CIN) or Matthews (@CHI)?

I would go with Mathews and Weddle.

Weddle is the easy choice as he is a perenial top 5 DB and will be much more consistent. For the DB spot consistency is your friend.

I go Mathews over Mack striclty because his floor is a higher than Macks with a similar ceiling. Mathews playing a lot on the inside will raise his floor based on tackle opportunites and they will still have him rush the passer in those situations so the opportunity of a 2 sack game is still there. For me it's Mathews.
