ok so let me ask you this, ..  .. I have this mind boggling tuff task.. i have the #1 overall d pick

our league do 4 safeties , 4 lb and 3 lineman and our scoring is 1 point for every solo 1 for assist, 5 points ff, 3 f recovery,15 for int, 7 points for sack tackle bonus for lb when they reach 10 they get 5 bonus, safeties at 8 tackles get 5 bonus and lineman at 5 tackles get 5 bonus.. Tackle for loss 2 points...yes its complex my 2 franchise players are reshad jones and kenu neal

Now with the first overall I can go with best available lb Zach Brown and im struggling not tot take a chance at J J watt at line.. hes never been available since hes always franchised..

the players to choose from from last year top scoring list are .. if you had the #1 overall who would be your choice.. taking a chance at J J watt regaining form or get Zach Brown whos in my list the last top tier lb left .. Lineman in my league drop off after the Melvin Ingram, cameron jordon, brandon graham ect  ... Lb theres always good finds.. Whats your call at #1 overall

I take the chance on JJ Watt and don't think twice.  LB's always can be found to the point they don't hurt you but having a difference maker DL is huge.  I take the risk.

thats a big risk though if he flops especially when melvin ingram and cameron jordan are available
I don't think he flops.  I think he will perform at a high level when healthy.  So the question becomes do you bet on his health.  DL is risky anyway so to have the chance at an elite difference maker (I think Ingram and Jordan are solid DL starters but not elite difference makers) it is worth it to me.

true and at lb in our scoring system zach brown has been top 5 last 2 years .. tier 1 lb the rest of the guys before him available r guys like sean lee, buchanon , olgetree kirksey ect..

I had this same decision to make yesterday and took Ingram as my DL2 for the exact same reason.

There’s just so much risk, especially with multiple back injuries. It makes Watt’s floor 0.00

every player (esp defene) is an injury risk, but with Watt you’re signing up for a player with substantially greater risk than (arguably) any other.
