This is a givenIf you get a chance to punch Jack Ruby in the mouth, don't pass it up.
If you get a chance to eat Skyline Chili, do pass it up.

Go to Bakersfield. The restaurant..not the town.
It's a two minute walk across the bridge. There are some nice parks along the River and walking across there are some nice shops and decent restaurants right there in Covington Ky. Also some decent sports bars around the stadium. There is a pretty good zoo or Kings Island if that is your thing. From Ohio?
Well aware of the geography. I was mocking the idea at laughing at another state when you're in the ####ty state of Ohio.Geography isn't your strong suit, huh?
Are you basing this off of experience or do you fancy yourself a ####ty comedian?Well aware of the geography. I was mocking the idea at laughing at another state when you're in the ####ty state of Ohio.
It's like a Browns fan making fun of a Lions fan for having a crappy team.

Rhinegeist, Taft Ale House, The Eagle (great place for chicken), Findlay Market, Eli's BBQThe craft beer scene in Cincy is strong. Many brewhouses to check out. I'd recommend MadTree (they just opened up an incredible new space in Oakley), but it sounds like you want to stay downtown. Definitely should check out a Reds game if you are ever back in Cincy. They are on the road this weekend.
Get a Moer burger at Moerlein Lager House (next to the Reds stadium). @gianmarco still has wet dreams about that burger.
Thank you doowain and beercat. We are going to Moerlein on Friday night. I heard there is a free trolley near my hotel and that could be a good way to see some of the city.Get a Moer burger at Moerlein Lager House (next to the Reds stadium). @gianmarco still has wet dreams about that burger.
In my paaaaht of the world, we have two decrepit mill towns, Lowell & Lawrence, NW of the city. Anyone driving through either would be saying either "Why bother?" or "Duck!" but Lowell has a slightly prouder tradition and have been a li'l quicker on the renewal switch, so they thrill to point out how farther advanced they are than their neighboring ####hole. Matter of fact, a few years ago they voted a new city slogan "We're not Lawrence!".Well aware of the geography. Assuming that's exactly what you'd do we in Cincinnati would applaud. When you wake up in Cincinnati the first activity on the itinerary should be to leave Cincinnati
Moerlein's not bad. Definitely check out OTR as well - several places mentioned already, but you can walk around and find lots of hipster bars and restaurants with some really good food. Should be hoppin any weekend night, so be prepared to wait for a table. Plenty of watering holes to kill some time while you wait. And I second the craft beer mention. Madtree is the best, but not downtown. Rhinegheist has a nice space downtown and their beers are pretty good too. Have fun!Thank you doowain and beercat. We are going to Moerlein on Friday night. Was this the one north of the city? There used to be one there that had a bar called "Spanky's" in it. Definitely a meat market when it was there but it's gone now.First if all you need to stay at the Hoe-liday Inn, that is where all those hot hot Ohio sluts hang out. The hotel bar is a great place to start, buy the local split tail a drink. Be aware the bar has last call at nine, but it's no problem. Order a bottle or two of booze, and make sure to tip the bar tender $40 for his hard work and head for the hot tub. Light up a Cohiba, play some tunes, and enjoy the scene; just be aware that all the partying may cause your IBS to flare up.
But the best news...If it's a business trip... you can write all the expenses off as a cab to Kinko's.
KI has made a nice recovery since purchased by Cedar Fair. Most have already been mentioned but I'll weigh in.
Reds game. Lot's of places within walking distance to eat/drink. Newer area on the river that's recently been revamped.
Cincinnati Zoo is top notch
Findlay Market. Older area of town. Two interesting restaurants in the area are Pho Lang Thang and Tom & Chee
Cincinnati Museum Center (Union Terminal). Fun fact: DC comics The Hall of Justice was modeled after Union Terminal.
As someone else mentioned Cincy has a strong craft beer scene. If you’re just drinking Madtree is excellent (only 8 miles north of dtown) & Rhinegeist is near Findlay Market. If eating and drinking Moerlein on the river is nice. I don't think their beer is quite as good as Madtree or Rhinegeist but it's more upscale and good food (the Pork Shank and Pork Belly are both excellent).
Newport on the Levee (Aquarium, shopping). You can walk across the Purple People Bridge from downtown.
I saw someone mention Kings Island but it doesn't open until 4/15.
fact check: mostly true@Peyton Marino runs a blind pig in English Woods. Been there, got a crack whore, was awesome.
You're a big meanieAssuming that's exactly what you'd do we in Cincinnati would applaud.
Yeah the bride has suggested hitting Graeter's. I'll probably be too drunk for ice cream tho. From the thread when I asked this question the weekend I went there for a playoff game in zero degree weather Graeter's Ice Cream is highly recommended.

The Possums of Comedy - they'll make you holler!
We have obviously become a giant in the world of comedy; we truly appreciate your advertiserial support.
Now, if only we could developed a wikked funny accent like some other states I know (ahem...), then we could retrain all our out of work coal miners to go on a national comedy tour to end all the sufrin in the land of ours!
You got some time to do a little lingual-like train'n WPer? It would help us all.
Also, thumbs up to the Newport on the Levee & the aquarium especially.
