Some dem needs to start repeating a completely impossible promise to keep if elected.  My suggestion is "Gasoline will be a dime a gallon and Saudi Arabia is going to pay for it!".

My suggestion is "free puppies for everyone". Who doesn't love puppies?

 
Klobuchar the big winner tonight followed by Bernie.   Biden and Pete were the big losers.  Biden came off like an angry old man shaking his fist at the moon.  I kept expecting him to yell at the moderators to get off his lawn.   Pete looked inexperienced.

 
Biden did score points with me for talking about the importance of our NATO alliance.

In my mind, that's incredibly important.

Yeah, I get the million permutations of socialism and communism being different, and Matthews certainly paints with a broad brush, but Bernie not only wants to install a system that has crashed and burned just about everywhere it's been tried, he's on record as praising the murderous Latin and Central and South American leftist strongmen that actually do these jailings and executions and brutal exiles to foreign countries where the former subject is now spied on for the rest of their days. The nerve of him to praise Castro or Sanchez or anybody of that ilk.

Why?

  1. Regulate it like alcohol and cigarettes = added tax revenue
  2. Eliminate violent crime associated with illegal drugs = save lives
  3. Stop spending money on the war on drugs = save billions of dollars on law enforcement and prisons
Those are compelling positives. At the societal cost of what, a small percentage of additional drug addicts? We don't worry about that with alcohol, why worry about it with drugs?

Not saying I support Buttigieg, but I support that idea.

He essentially said "the reds" were going to execute journalists in central park and he wasn't sure if Bernie would cheer or not. This following rants about how "If you were stuck on the side of the road Bernie wouldn't stop and help".

This isn't political analysis it's insanity

The right has been saying this for years. And these are pretty tame attacks.

 
I actually hate these debates with a passion. The raising their hands waiting to be called on is stupid. Every single person should have the right to answer every question and it should be direct pointed questions that require quick concise answers. Give each candidate two or three chances for the whole night to offer a rebuttal or clarification after everybody speaks.

If we ask you a yes or no question about drugs and you start talking about your housing plan your Mic is muted and you lose a rebuttal. Get Simon Cowell to be in charge of muting people. 

God what I wouldnt give to watch a double dare style game show with these candidates. Bernie and Biden should definitely not take the physical challenge. Slime em all!

If it was a competitor saying it... sure.  This is an analyst for the Democrat channel who has been crying about party unity for 4 years. Instead he's talking about outrageous mythical scenarios to attack a candidate running in his party's primary in the middle of the primary. 

 
Sad day to see Rock unraveling at the same rate as Chris Matthews. Not even discussing issues anymore, just straight fearmongering garbage. And it is garbage dialogue they're both spewing.

 
After watching that debate last night, can somebody explain to me how Bloomberg holds up after they bring up the fact he was in charge of a city that stopped and frisked 7 million black people?

From what I've seen on these boards, I don't think many people expect he can win, they just want to watch a billionaire put endless amounts of cash into national attack ads against Trump for the entertainment of it.

I'm not a Bloomberg advocate, but I think he can point to his overall record as NYC mayor as being a success. Every politician will have critics, but he can just respond to his critics by pointing to his record of achievements. He was re-elected twice, and generally had high approval ratings. 

I think it is fair to say that succeeding as NYC mayor for more than 10 years is more impressive than anything most of the other candidates for the Democratic nomination have achieved.

 Hillary would have run roughshod over these clowns last night.  Any way she still might throw her hat in the ring?  Amazing how good she looks right now compared to the dem field and Trump.
