I can't score The Lemon Drop Kid (1951) because there are no reviews by critics at either RottenTomatoes or MetaCritic.

Based on the audience scores at RottenTomatoes, Amazon, and IMDB, it'd fall between Love Actually and Scrooged.
i want everyone to watch it at Christmas, so i pimp it every holiday season on FFA. i think it's a hoot and it's where Silver Bells - one of my favorite carols - comes from

i must have really missed something about the spiderman cartoon movie.  i'm a super hero dork and spiderman has always been a favorite.  just don't get the love for that movie.

agree. raving about Spiderverse or whatever is just proving to the world that you've watched too many animated flicks w your kids

I thought it was good but blown away by how much people claim to love it.

MT,

Such a gift this list is. My daughter is home from college for six more weeks so the two of us have plenty of time to watch flicks she's never seen. We usually have a little difficulty finding something we want to watch. No longer. Just scan down your list and easily locate something good. Last night we watched "Fight Club". Thanks.

I’m not overly prone to super hero movies, don’t watch cartoons very often and have no kids. That Spiderverse movie was really really good.

Even though it has multiple Christmas related scenes and takes places entirely around the holidays, I’m guessing nobody has Brazil down on their annual holiday  watch list.

Maybe 4/20 is the more fitting holiday?

Elf and Christmas Vacation way too low.  I enjoyed the list it helped me put mine own list of movies I need to check out as the winter months descend upon us.

Agree with all 3 of you. I watched this Tuesday and posted similar comments in the recently viewed movie thread.

Good to know I'm not the only one who didn't think it was a 10.

I would add Peter Weir to that list.

David Sims lists his Top 10 Movies of 2020 in The Atlantic:

1. First Cow
2. Lovers Rock
3. The Nest
4. I'm Thinking of Ending Things
5. Mank
6. Nomadland
7. Bacurau
8. Tenet
9. Never Rarely Sometimes Always
10. Da 5 Bloods

By my method, the top ten 2020 movies consist entirely of documentaries, animated movies, and musicals:

1. Wolfwalkers [animated]
2. Rising Phoenix [documentary]
3. Hamilton [musical]
4. Collective [documentary, subtitles]
5. Weathering with You [animated]
6. David Byrne’s American Utopia [musical]
7. Mucho Mucho Amor [documentary]
8. Rewind [documentary]
9. Miss Americana [documentary]
10. A Secret Love [documentary]

Even if we exclude all documentaries, animated movies, and musicals from consideration, my list has almost no overlap with his:

1. The Trial of the Chicago 7
2. Nomadland
3. And Then We Danced [subtitles]
4. Sound of Metal
5. The Banker
6. Happiest Season
7. Palm Springs
8. Corpus Christi [subtitles]
9. Driveways
10. End of Sentence

Only Nomadland appears on both lists.
