If the Raiders would quit dicking him around, then there wouldn't be a problem. All he's asking for is the going rate for #1 picks. If the Raiders didn't want to pony up the money, they shouldn't have traded down and drafted out of a different spot. This has been stated many many times already.
Very similar team in 2001 to mine:QB: Aaron BrooksRB: Marshall Faulk, Shaun Alexander (originally had A. Green, traded him for S. Alexander and A. Brooks midseason)Flex: Dominic Rhodes (Edge hurt)WR: Terrell Owens, David Boston (his one good year)K: Who caresDef: Tampa Bay
Strengths: Gets good separation, great route runner, physical receiver with good size and strength
Weaknesses: Doesn't have blazing speed, history of dropping balls (more before the surgery)
Very similar to Michael Clayton out of LSU a few years ago, but Bowe is a better route runner. I can...
Here's some pics from the Manning Passing Academy which took place last summer before the season. Russell is in a few of the pictures with both Mannings and John Elway. It's a good gauge to see how big he is and how fat he is not. Left to right in the picture (for those interested) are Eli...
Here is link to a picture of Russell with Eli and Peyton Manning without pads. It's not the best quality picture, but you can see that he's bigger than Eli and Peyton, but not overly fat or even close to it.

Russell is definitely not immobile. I watched him for 4 years at LSU and he was fantastic at getting out of the pocket and throwing on the run. He also had specifically designed run plays in the offense for him. Why would you design running plays for a QB that was immobile?? He's definitely...
I have Bulger against Washington, Rothleisberger against Baltimore, or Carr against Indy. I am considering picking up and starting Rattay over those guys.
As much as Schottenheimer relies on his RBs to carry the load over the Rivers and the passing game, I'm happy Turner's gonna get some carries. Tomlinson would be run down by the end of the season if Schottenheimer relied on Tomlinson alone.
I have Bulger and Plummer and neither have done much up to this point in the season. You'd think Bulger would put up numbers against SF but he has not looked very good up to this point. Opinions?
So when would you start being concerned? How long is the average gelling time of a new offensive line and how long til Aaron Brooks starts completing a pass instead of digging himself up out of the ground every play.
The Raiders offense looks absolutely terrible, especially the first-team offensive line. I thought that maybe the first game with Philadelphia was just a instance of an inexperienced O-Line playing against a tough defensive front. But against Minnesota, the line looked just as bad, if not...
