Really weird hitting line for Ohtani this playoffs.
In 3 games he is 9 for 12 with 7 HR's and 9 RBI's.
In 11 games he is 5 for 40 with 1HR and 5 RBI's.
He has basically single handedly won 3 games, and pretty much sucked for 11 games.
All he did was prove that he was twice as good (or more) than the 2nd best player in the league. And the 2nd best player was also playing in a segregated league.

It means that the trailing vehicle needs to give enough distance to the leading vehicle to be able to stop in time, if he stops. In most cases of rear-ending, it doesn't matter why the lead vehicle has to slow down and stop.
