Just think how dumb you'd look if they got injured playing in a meaningless game and weren't available in the playoffs. You've let everyone in your organization down - players, staff, families. This is a no-brainer imo.
I had a tough call with one of my oldest and closest friends over the weekend. He called me from rehab. He'd just spent 45 days in residence and is now in a separate home with a few other professionals (white collars, Dr.s, etc.) where they have more freedoms and are allowed to use cell phones...
Huge Thursday game. The line opened -2.5 and was quickly bet to 3. As of a couple weeks ago I would have no faith whatsoever in the Packers in this game. Now I'd say there's a chance they can win if everything falls in place for them.

Vikings had 5 second half possessions:
3 plays 2 yards - punt
3 plays -12 yards - punt
3 plays -17 yards - punt
1 play 0 yards - int
5 plays 26 yards - int
The furthest they advanced was their own 35 yard line, when McManus kicked off for a touchback.
I think its more a media thing than something coming directly from the schools. I'm not following it very closely either so I guess its possible the deal will fall through.
No doubt. I’m about 99% certain both schools are just pushing for more money. They’ll figure it out soon enough and this deal will get done. All the lip service to idealistic notions of amateurism in college sports is hilarious, especially coming from USC and Michigan.
You could golf those courses with the actual current pros. I was thinking I could stage live sporting events - football, soccer, boxing matches at awesome venues, concerts and other live performances from celebrity survivors with randos filling out the crowds.
I’ve read the UEFA qualification wiki several times over the past week and still don’t understand how it works or what has to happen for teams like Italy or Holland. I did see that Haaland has 16 goals in qualifiers and the next closest player has 8.
Ravens ran a great fake tush push on 4th and inches for the game-winning touchdown on Sunday, set up by prior variations they'd used on the play involving Andrews and Jackson.

sure and I'm not going to nitpick this, but in a scrum the ball is always on the ground. There's no ballcarrier in a scrum. The two teams' scrums are pushing against each other - typically for a second or two at most until the ball is out. There's a rugby action called a "maul" that may somewhat...
I personally watch a ton of rugby and think its a near--perfect spectator sport. But as has been stated before in here, this football play has nothing at all to do with rugby and doesn't resemble anything that commonly happens in a rugby game.
