I wonder if the "underperformance" line is a cover for "disgruntled because your brother was traded and you weren't?" I heard the Jets and Cowboys were talking about a deal that would send both brothers to Dallas but it didn't work out.
Would seem to be a prime matchup with Williams being removed from the middle of a Jets defense already giving up the 7th most rushing yards per game and with a Jets offense that shouldn't create a negative game script for the Browns O.
I would think so, then I saw Kurt Warner on Rich Eisen's show talking about how he dislocated his left elbow in '07 and played the next week with a brace. Kind of messed up my thinking a bit, lol. Quinn already came out and said he'd be out a while so...

Not sure they'll bother to announce anything after that meeting. We might be in the dark as waivers run tonight. I'm probably just going to drop him anyway.
I'm in a similar boat. 4 bench spots, 1 IR. I have Boutte and BTJ both likely out this week so I'd have to drop Boutte to grab some QB help if I want to keep JD. That's not tragic, but as a team fighting for the last playoff spot I need everyone that might be able to help me in the fantasy...
I'd be on board with making a modest trade for Mac Jones to be a bridge QB next year and then waiting for the right time to draft the next QB. As you said, use your draft capital to build the offense around the QB. This is more along the lines of the Detroit blueprint Glenn loves to talk about...
As I said earlier, the WR room is at the very least more talented and more interesting. Whether or not it is better remains to be seen. If one of them can be a 3/4 moving forward it's a win IMO.
Agreed and I'm on board with it. How long have the Jets been built around a solid defense with no QB, no real offensive identity or talent? It feels like it's been that way forever. Let's build an offense that scores points and then worry about defense second.
If i'm the GM Wilson is the most untouchable player along with the OTs. Pretty much anyone else is on the table for the right price. I'd be shocked if Wilson was moved.
