Took a nibble at MPW today - health care REIT down 30% today on poor client news - at today's price the dividend yield is 17% Seems to me like someone will keep renting hospitals even if that client goes under. Useful to note I came in last in the 2023 stock picking contest though :bye:, so...

Opened a small position today in CNHI to buy & hang onto for awhile. Company is de-listing from Milan stock exchange & will be listed only on NYSE beginning 1/2/24 - was mentioned a couple of time's on a Barron's "Streetwise" podcast I listen to - including an interview with the CEO on 11/24...

Yes, it was - and as it turns out I managed to only lose 88% of my investment after selling this AM. Curious as to who is buying SI when they have already announced they are closing up shop? People hoping there are some assets to be sold after all is said & done & that would somehow come back...

SI was my pick in the 2023 contest & I posted a news blurb in the other thread (below). I don't think this one is coming back. I think the thesis of SI as a crypto <-> banking infrastructure play is pretty well pummelled at this point & unlikely to recover. I haven't exited my small position...

Crazy movement today - I haven't added any - personally will start to reconsider if/when it dips below $11 again - and I currently have enough eggs in that basket for my risk/ reward tolerance
