If this is the last year you can keep AR, I'm comfortable dropping him like this. If you're able to retain him on a new contract after 2025, I'd probably keep him. IMO, the lightbulb comes on later this year or never at all.
I know people are gonna want to stack the QBs up against each other, but I'll leave that up to the professionals. Gabriel looked good to me today. He commanded the offense confidently, or so it seemed. Hit receivers in stride. I feel good about him.
Yep. Did fairly well for a rookie, given the conditions. There was very little I disliked, but still not looking like a franchise QB. Had rookie stats. Wish he had a stronger arm, but it's probably good enough. Not enough drive on downfield throws for me. Still early and maybe there's more...
Yeah. Agreed, but if it's true (IF), then he won't last long. He may have a few good weeks, several maybe, but I've rarely seen those guys have a long & productive career. But, like you say, it's ONE report and not exactly damning at that.
