Davis was the weak side linebacker. Beason slid over from the middle to the weak side with Dan Connor filling Beason's vacancy in the middle and James Anderson remaining on the strong side. I personally don't see the switch hurting Beason's value much since the Panthers play a lot of cover-2...
Last I heard, Manning was still taking 1st team reps at strong safety and Harris was starting at free safety. I doubt that situation holds throughout the entire season, however.
Here is an interesting read: http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2010/08...rry_fewell.html
Somewhat confusing article, but this part got my attention: "Basically, they told me Boley is now the strong-side linebacker...this is a return to the position Boley played for his first three seasons with...
Another guy I noticed that is listed as a LILB on CBS' depth charts is Ray Lewis. Is it accurate to say that he plays on the strong side? Or do they have this wrong?

As always, thank for the quick and thorough reply Jene.
My mistake on Mayo and Williams, I guess I should have learned not to trust to CBS' depth charts:

Hey Guys:
Just wondering what everyone thought about the following players who exceed typical expectations and production for their position within their respective schemes:
Jerod Mayo LILB (or SILB) - I find it somewhat weird that Mayo has managed to put up solid seasons in both years he's...
I was wondering if you could provide some insight on the following position battles around the league:
DL
1. Charles Johnson vs. Everette Brown (CAR)
2. Mathias Kiwanuka vs. Osi Umenyiora (NYG)
LB
1. Derrick Johnson vs. Demorrio Williams/Corey Mays (KC)
2. Jonathan Goff vs. Phillip Dillard...
There are a few players I am looking for further insight on and was hoping you guys could provide your opinions.
1. CB Malcolm Jenkins (NO) - Put up some nice tackle numbers the last 6 games of the season while filling in for the injured Jabari Greer. He has been moved to safety which isn't a...
Thanks Jene. I must give a lot of credit to you and Mr. Norton. You guys are truly the pioneers when it comes to IDP fantasy football. I've learned everything about that side of the game from you guys (especially you). I have a feeling you've forgotten more about IDPs than I'll ever know haha...
Thanks for the reply Jene. As a follow-up question, how have Arizona's defensive ends (Dockett and Campbell) both managed to put up such solid fantasy numbers playing in a 3-4 (2-gap system)? There's really no other team I can think of that has ends that produce like they do in that type of scheme.
Hey Jene:
I was wondering if you knew which teams used 4-3 one gap systems vs. which teams used 4-3 two gap systems. From what I have gathered most teams are using a 4-3 one gap system. But that information could be wrong. Just thought this information would be good to know from a fantasy...
