I was just listening to these guys last week--the second album rather than the first. They were good but acted kind of like ##### when I saw them play live. The brother who were the face of the band went on to do nothing much but the guys in the back of the stage have had success as Whitney.

I like the new Big Thief record. The sound is more expansive and even a little poppier than their earlier stuff. It seems like more of a band record than Adrienne Lenker's solo stuff (well duh) but maybe a little more uneven so maybe her songwriting is a bit stretched.
