surprises me. i thought joey, if only as a pinch runner for someone like Kirk when they are desperate for a run late.
Don't really see any use for France. You have Davis and Kilometres Straw as RH pinch hitters. I guess Straw will be the pinch runner if ever needed.
Hopefully Bo is good to go!
Looks like Trey gets the game 1 nod. I like it! Gives Gaus an extra day and he seems to pitch better on long rest. Gets Trey in when it's 0-0 so no added pressure (not that it seems to bother him) and one less day for him to think about it. His journey this year is absolutely incredible, and...
I feel like they will start with Bichette as PH in game 1 and 2, ride the same lineup they had against Seattle. Schneider in for Lukes in game 1. Depending on how that goes, and how Bichette is feeling maybe DH him in a game or two after that. Give Bichette a PH at bat in both games 1 and 2...
if i recall it was just outside the box - (watching on the sportsnet broadcast) - but it was really close. Not one that's typically called a strike cause it wasn't where Kirk was setup and it was a slow curve, up and in.
I felt the ump was pretty inconsistent, Will be interested to see UMpire Auditor today. He called some really low strikes, but then the next pitch in same location was a ball. Seemed to me that the Jays benefitted the most but he wasn't terrible (see: Eddings) just felt inconsistent.
Didn't hurt that all batters - especially Rodriguez - were swinging at balls. Julio didn't get 1 strike and a couple were not even close, but he still swung. All with Raleigh waiting in the on dec circle. But, credit to Hoffman, for sure, he was throwing hard. I was impressed with Bassitt...
Fortuitous for the Jays that Santander was unable to play, otherwise I am pretty sure he would have been out there and not likely caught those two fly balls, nor would he have thrown out Naylor at third.
Yes, she does. As do nearly every other star in the series. Katrina Law was my personal favorite 💘
Casting director gets an A+++ for the show.
Season 1 with Andy Whitfield (RIP) was the best.
Same can be said for the Jays, yet here we are with both teams pretty much on the brink. Both teams were also great at home all season yet managed 6 runs and 14 total hits between them over 4 games. Those are ridiculous numbers.
Must have been an amazing experience. It's a 2 hour trek for me, from London, and I really do hate Toronto traffic, but wish I would have bit the bullet and bought tickets. Was not ideal to have the Yankees score a bunch of late runs but a win is a win.
