I’m not rosy at all. The market is overbought. I do a bit of long / short and for the short side, I buy near-the-money SPY puts for a couple months out as downside protection. I tried to short CRWV when it was near $180 (posted it here a few pages back) but Vanguard would not allow it.
Sounds like they are worth investing in just for the name alone. Release the Kraken!

Trimming may be good. Some also use a strategy of selling covered calls if you’re OK with parting with 100 shares and generating some extra premium through selling the call.
The most concentrated holdings for me would be ETFs at upwards of 20% of my portfolio for something like VTI. I keep individual stocks at maybe 4% or 5% max. That would be something like JPM (or MCD for the original poster). Some blue chip stalwart. And for options or more speculative stocks...
