The projection websites are saying you need 5+ minutes. Hopefully they are wrong and you find a way to squeak into Boston in April. Rooting for you to join us!
Some of the time qualifiers are the same as Boston. The thing about Chicago is there is no buffer to contend with. If you meet the time, you are in. Boston isn't like that.
I would run a little bit by them and then start my walk. I would constantly look at my watch giving the impression I'm following a plan carefully so they don't think this guy in his mid 50's isn't stopping there because their T&A but because I'm a refined committed athlete.
Hey Chicago guys -- Sunday evening (October 12), post marathon, I'm guessing @bushdocda and I and our better halves will likely be out celebrating or mourning our race performance. If anyone wants to join us, let us know. It is a holiday weekend so hopefully no work for many of you on Monday.
I'm running a lot. I'm trying to go from couch to BQ.
Goal race is Chicago Marathon. Then I'll lead pace groups at Marine Corps and NYC a few weeks after Chicago.
Dumb question from a guy who doesn't garden. Are any of these veggies harder or easier to grow? Or just plant, weed, feed, and water and it all just happens?
