I mean, that sounds fun to me, but I guess most people aren't very interested in simulation.
In the interest of competitive balance, that's a fair point, but shouldn't there at least be a small tier break? Just enough to push QBs into R1, not so much that Mahomes breaks everything.
I love fantasy football, but something that drives me absolutely crazy is how quarterbacks are valued so much less than in the NFL. I've tried to create my own leagues with modified scoring, with some minor success, but interest in changing anything about the standard scoring system seems to be...
Custom scoring system that reflects real NFL position value (QBs much more valuable than RBs).
Draft strategy will be different than normal leagues, so serious owners only!

Here's a league that uses the scoring system that just drafted. If you look at the draft results, you'll see that half the league still drafted RBs...

I've developed a custom scoring system that reflects (as accurately as is possible with basic stat categories) real-NFL position value. No more first-round RBs (among other changes).
If you join this league, you need to know that most standard draft boards won't be helpful. If you draft using...
No worries.
The value isn't exactly the same, but the draft board is very similar to 2qb superflex leagues. Top scorers will always be qbs.
Also possible that I'm misunderstanding 2qb leagues. I always hated the standard scoring systems so I never bothered with them and just made my own haha
The scoring system doesn't widen the QB tier breaks, but the fact that it's a keeper league does. That, plus the sheer point value, means that if you don't have a true franchise QB you're at a big disadvantage.
I like Justin Fields and Dak Prescott (the guys I'd likely be looking at at 1.08)...
Sorry, didn't do a very good job explaining the league. It's one QB but the stats are buffed / nerfed to reflect actual NFL position value. So QB's are more valuable than receivers by like 30%. Also, there's a pretty obvious tier break after mahomes, Allen, hurts, burrow.
The way the scoring tiers shake out in the league, it's better to have a tier one QB and a tier 2 WR than vice versa
Assuming that the rest of the league drafts correctly (not a given haha) , it will be necessary to be in the top four
I traded up in the first round of my Keeper startup draft. Looking for feedback on how I did. Background: I wanted to get up to 1.04 to make sure I get a Tier 1 QB. It's a 10 team league with a custom scoring system (draft value is basically the same as in 2QB).
