0.5 PPR Leagues--How do YOU draft for your RB/WR Flex? (1 Viewer)

In a 0.5 PPR redraft league, start 2 WR, 1RB, 1 RB/WR flex, at what point do YOU start playing your WRs over your RBs?

I've got 5 early picks this year in a 12 team redraft (6, 1, 30, 35, 52), and the depth of quality WRs seems good this year. I'm tempted to go RB-WR-WR-WR in the hopes of landing a top 5 RB and 3 Top 15 WRs. Looking at the point projections, it seems that after the top 10-12 RBs are gone, that Top 20 WRs are even more valuable point-wise. However, I'm so used to coveting RBs that I'm hesitant to draft only one strong RB in the first 5 rounds.

How are some of you handling your drafts if you are in a similar point value league? Are you sticking with the likely mediocre or question mark RBs like A. Green, C. Williams, B. Jacobs, J. Lewis, or A. Peterson etc. in the 3rd, 4th and 5th rounds, or are you drafting one of the Top 15 WRs to fill your RB/WR slot?

Thanks for any input.

The .05 ppr leagues I play in are just for WR/TE.

And the question you ask is THE question pretty much.

It also includes the tight ends just a moment later. And this issue continues for several rounds of who to pick.

I would still want a legit RB2 (AGreen) to fill the flex.

And the reason is because once in the playoffs I do not want a bad WR day (4-for-28) to doom me.

As I have stated before, I am an owner who is always planning around > being in the playoffs.

Though I may make use of 3WRs during the regular season if I have someone doing better along the way.
