Rookie RB WR opportunity value index (1 Viewer)

Rankings - some people like them, some do not. To draft or trade, everyone has their own way to evaluate. Here I tried to capture a rookie opportunity value ranking by leveraging a dynasty trade chart (fantasypros) and adding up values per position. Positive for the given rookie minus competition value(s). I doubt RBs and WRs are directly comparable - adjust according to your league rules / tendencies anyway. *for players leading their team position in dynasty value. Though the opp value reflects crowded rooms for Egbuka and Golden, they have the top dynasty position value for their team.

Rookies I have elevated due to opportunity - Croskey-Merritt, Brashard Smith.
Rookies I have lowered due to opportunity - Egbuka, Higgins
Rookies I like despite lack of opportunity - Burden, Noel
Rookies I probably do not get despite opportunity- Blue, Ayomanor

Croskey-Merritt - east/west shrine bowl MVP. Put up very good stats at my Alma mater (New Mexico), moved on to Arizona but played only game due to elibility concerns. More like Ekeler than Robinson
Brashard Smith - converted to RB from WR his last year so room for improvement. McKinnon role potential.
Egbuka - Did not get any “who is that guy” vibes. Solid at OSU, probably got ridiculous $$ to stay one more year. Feels like a WR2 at best, behind McMillan at worst. If you draft him, may need to be more patient than I would be.
Higgins - I think he gets Nico leftovers and also backs him up as needed. If Higgins and Noel both hit - need to elevate Shroud.
Burden - Ben Johnson ran the Detroit offense through the slot (St. Brown) and TE (La Porta). He drafted Loveland and Burden. Sign me up for Burden - really like his YAC ability
Noel - I think Noel picks up the non-Nico stuff and he is cheaper than Higgins. Rangers seem to like him.
Blue - was used mostly as a secondary option at Texas. Needs to fix fumbling issue. I think the veterans play a lot to keep Prescott upright.
Ayomanor - his own team likes Dike more than him. I’ll go there first.

If I understand what you're doing here, wouldn't the level of team competition be baked into the rookies' values (presumably, anyway, if the people making the list are determinating values properly)?

Counter point on Egbuka. Round 1 draft capital playing behind a guy coming off a major ankle injury and a 32 year old. There's more opportunity there, IMO, than it appears. And he produced in college playing alongside a lot of other NFL talent meaning he earned targets against great players.
