2025 WR Lotto Ticket Rankings (1 Viewer)

Footballguy
Just like RB Lotto Ticket Rankings. I did a quick runthrough of all 32 teams and ID'd the 'Kingmakers' on each team again. Hope you enjoy! I did one in 2023 and it wasn't that great TBH- or so I thought, but at least we were able to flag Tank Dell early that year. We'll see if any good comes this year tho. I'll try to update on Tuesdays same as RB Lotto Rankings for waiver wire purposes.

Typically RB position makes more sense for this, but with how much we love to speculate, I think there may be some use to highlighting the next man up at WR and at least familiarize yourself with who can breakout due to inevitable injuries or take advantage of some depth charts that might be surprisingly wide open.

CANDIDATES for the Season Changing – KingMaker List - by division
I'll Bold the Kingmakers and Green stuff
As of Tuesday Aug 20th.

AFC East
  • BUF
    • Keon Coleman - its the runaway breakout WR with opportunity and talent this is the best case scenario.
    • Khalil Shakir - injured but I still think he'll return value and be on waivers and teams off and on.
    • Joshua Palmer - small boost early in season, but with no byes kinda pointless still would rec a monitor
    • Bonus* Dalton Kincaid- wow last year sure sucked he could be the new version of Kyle Pitts as a promising TE but it just never clicks however he is free.
  • MIA
    • Nick WestBrook-Ikhine - really just up here since Tyreek is getting up there in age, monitor this closely since Dolphins are epitome of boom bust in Offensive Power
    • Bonus Darren Waller - No one is righly talking about Waller but the receivers on this team past the top 2 are just awful, he might actually end up being the third or second target on this team if injury comes up and the rice is free.
  • NEP
    • Demario Douglas - super friendly WR to have and with Stefon Diggs taking the number 1 CB it looks like a good matchup honestly
    • Kyle Williams - I think there is some utapped potential here in NE things are very shook up and I think monitoring this is a good way to be ahead of what happens
  • NYJ
    • Meh
AFC North
  • BAL
    • Rashod Bateman - I'm just not ever going to feel good about Zay Flowers.
    • DeAndre Hopkins - monitor he is a future HOF
  • CIN
    • Andre Iosivas is a handcuff you only need to roster once Tee Chase get dinged up.
  • CLE
    • Cedric Tillman - Flacco helps the next options since they will progress thru reads, This one tho is a monitor for me but I get the appeal
  • PIT
    • Calvin Austin - injured
    • Roman Wilson- This one could be something, got the shout out and the other vets are there for the progressions past DK > Roman Wilson> Robert Woods/Ben Skowronek
AFC South
  • HOU
    • Jayden Higgins - worth the shot of a late round pick
    • Christian Kirk - kind of like a journeyman JAG at this point but monitor
  • IND
    • Michael Pittman Basically Danny Dimes is the starter so improve all pass catchers IMO
    • Josh Downs - Danny Dimes likes the slot WR
    • Alex Pierce
    • Adonai Mitchell
    • Bonus Tyler Warren Looks great I might be a lil too high on him as a Rookie. I can see myself drafting him as the high upside backup in last rounds.
  • JAC
    • Bonus Brenton Strange - huge void I think he is someone to closely monitor since the WR room is top heavy but as the 3rd read he is there as the darkhorse imo.
  • TEN
    • Tyler Lockett - the epitome of boring WR3-4 that is just not gonna make anyone ooh and ahh at draft but is likely free. Also here is some hype footage.
AFC West
  • DEN
    • Marvin Mims - not breaking news, he is a well advertised sleeper
    • Bonus Evan Engram - why not
  • KCC
    • Hollywood Brown - bump in looks during suspension
    • Ju Ju Smith- Shuster - this seems odd, but I will heavily monitor, once Rice is on suspension.
  • LVR
    • Meh
  • LAC
    • Keenan Allen - boring vet with the link with the QB. I think a 1000 yard season is in the picture.
NFC East
  • DAL
    • Meh
  • NYG
    • Jalen Hyatt - Wilson could be shooting moonballs out to this guy! per @Boone22
  • PHI
    • Jahan Dotson- but only if we see an injury
  • WAS
    • Meh
NFC North
  • CHI
    • Rome Odunze - yes I'm a Bears fan so don't look at this too hard. I believe in Ben Johnson to overhaul the offense finally. Lions Bears 2.0
    • Luther Burden
    • Colston Loveland
    • Cole Kmet
  • DET
    • Meh
  • GBP
    • Matthew Golden- feels like shiny new toy, but I have liked this WR room for a bit but its too spread around its kinda like Patriots many years ago. I'm not gonna draft but monitor them all or if injury consolidates targets then get em.
  • MIN
    • Meh
NFC South
  • ATL
  • CAR
    • Xavier Legette is a monitor
    • Bonus Tommy Tremble I will have monitoring on him once back from injury. The schedule is super easy at least?
  • NO
    • Meh
  • TBB
    • Emeka Egbuka - cheapest WR playing in the worst defensive division?
NFC West
  • ARI
    • Meh, I'm kinda overcooked with Kyler Murray TBH.
  • LAR
    • Tutu is a monitor in case of injury
  • SF
    • Jauan Jennings definitely worth drafting- kind of feels too easy,
  • SEA
    • MVS- could heat up monitor
18 in total, I'm sure there are more. Feel free to shout out anyone missed or wanting to endorse.

I completely agree that the Giants are “Meh” as you say but I will point out one small possibility…

If Wilson continues to throw his Moonball, Jalen Hyatt is well suited for that. It’s the one thing he does decently.

Good idea for a list.

If Keenan Allen gets hurt, Tre' Harris becomes an obvious candidate for the LAC, with Keandre Lambert-Smith further down the list.

You need to update this line:

Top 5 Possible KingMakers ranked(I added more since the first couple are duh... too easy):
1. David Montgomery, 2. Zach Charbonet, 3. Jordan Mason, 4. Tyler Allgeier, 5.Braelon Allen, 6. Ray Davis , 7. Jaylen Wright, 8. Keaton Mitchell

Great work again, @Hartliner

I will borrow your format once again. (I have not included any Tight Ends)

AFC East
  • BUF
    • Josh Palmer could have a decent role. I had high hopes for Elijah Moore when he came into the NFL. Probably not worth rostering now, but I keep watching him with hope
  • MIA
    • Nick Westbrook-Ikhine could be in line for some goal -line work. As a sneaky Lotto Ticket, I like Malik Washington
  • NEP
    • Kyle Williams could emerge as the WR1 for the Pats. A sneaky Lotto Ticket is Efton Chism III
  • NYJ
    • I'm drawing a blank; probably nobody
AFC North
  • BAL
    • Perhaps DeAndre Hopkins
  • CIN
    • Jermaine Burton still intrigues me. Mitchell Tinsley put on a show Monday night
  • CLE
    • Isaiah Bond is still flying way under the radar
  • PIT
    • I really like Roman Wilson here
AFC South
  • HOU
    • This is a loaded receiver room. Aside from the more obvious ones, I like Jaylin Noel. He has starter qualities, but he is buried here
  • IND
    • Adonai Mitchell had a rookie season to forget, but I am grabbing him where I can
  • JAC
    • Perhaps Parker Washington, but the correct answer is probably nobody
  • TEN
    • Some decent rookies here in Ayomanor, Dike and Restrepo
AFC West
  • DEN
    • Troy Franklin and Pat Bryant both intrigue me
  • KCC
    • I love Jalen Royals here, especially with a looming Rice suspension
  • LVR
    • Dont'e Thornton Jr. would have been the answer here, but he is actually a projected starter and no longer flying under the radar
  • LAC
    • KeAndre Lambert-Smith looks like a legitimate starter
NFC East
  • DAL
    • No real Lotto Ticket
  • NYG
    • I will reluctantly say Jalin Hyatt
  • PHI
    • In case of injury, break glass and start Jahan Dotson. John Metchie III is on my watch list
  • WAS
    • Jaylin Lane may have an opportunity. I want to like Luke McCaffrey, but he has disappointed so far
NFC North
  • CHI
    • Olamide Zaccheaus is holding off a challenge from Luther Burden III. He is an interesting vet, but his ceiling is not especially high in this offense. Burden is the non-starter I want
  • DET
    • Isaac TeSlaa is intriguing, but absent an injury ahead of him, he is unlikely to get enough volume
  • GBP
    • I love this receiver room, but no real Lottery Ticket
  • MIN
    • Tai Felton is worth monitoring, but not a high-end Lotto Ticket
NFC South
  • ATL
    • I like Nick Nash, but he isn't even guaranteed a roster spot., No real Lotto Ticket
  • CAR
    • Nobody here fits the Lotto Ticket role, but Hunter Renfrow is flying under the radar
  • NO
    • Meh
  • TBB
    • I'm not sure Emeka Egbuka qualifies, but his upside is very high
NFC West
  • ARI
    • I've got nothin'
  • LAR
    • Tutut Atwell? Jordan Whittington? Probably nobody
  • SF
    • Probably no Lotto Ticket, but Jacob Cowing has some gadget-role intrigue
  • SEA
    • I am grabbing Tory Horton where I can. He has some WR1 qualities

Any Titans rookie (or Oliver) with a late or last pick seems like a good lottery ticket to play. Including Helm.

Dike and Elic are pretty common picks in this lottery regard so they've been rising up ADP a bit and...they might not have the lottery vibe in your draft

Two names I didn't see

  • Jayden Higgins Houston WR: Maybe you didn't include him because you're assuming he's better than lotto ticket. But I saw you had Matthew Golden and Golden I feel like the cement is drying on Golden as the Packers #1 WR. Higgins won't pass Nico but he was a really high draft pick, physically talented, good college profile and landed with a QB that last year everyone was falling all over themselves to get any piece of. Higgins and Golden are both much better than lotto tickets IMO.

  • Keandre Lambert-Smith LAC WR: KLS is the one to watch there. I think the path has been paved for him to surpass Tre Harris and Quentin Johnston and the kid is running across it. He's had such a consistent drumbeat of positive reports from camp, made splashy plays every time he's be on the field in preseason. He's playing ahead of Tre Harris, catching passes from Herbert. It would not surprise me at all if he becomes the most reliable down field receiver for Herbert. He won't get the target volume to compete with Ladd but he will have some spike weeks.
