My backup/handcuffs currently on my roster(s):
Team one: J. Wright, J. Mason, Gus, K. Gainwell (have Saquon), C. Reynolds (have Monty), Singletary (drafted as a starter but held).
Team two: J. Mason
Corum is probably the top one injury away handcuff in fantasy, so I like him out of the three. SF has Oline issues, Mason is banged up, and Wright would inherit a timeshare if Achane went down. Corum would probably have a 60/40 share with Rivers (at worst), but probably more like 80/20.My backup/handcuffs currently on my roster(s):

I have Allgeier, Benson and Warren backing up my starters.
Contemplating a last minute WTH add before 1pm.
Who do you like between:
Not thinking any of these 6 guys are going to take over, just trying to position myself to benefit from any random injuries to the starter.

I'd definitely rather have him over Gus Edwards now. Upside through the roof.Vidal’s stock on a massive rise and would be in green in this thread now.
I’m grabbing whichever one or both are available across my leagues. Only have both Edwards and Vidal rostered in 1 league where I need RB2 help. It’s freakin dart throw time.I'd definitely rather have him over Gus Edwards now. Upside through the roof.Vidal’s stock on a massive rise and would be in green in this thread now.
Define "through the roof", please.I'd definitely rather have him over Gus Edwards now. Upside through the roof.Vidal’s stock on a massive rise and would be in green in this thread now.
If Vidal shows out and runs away with the job today, you're getting someone stepping into the JK Dobbins role for free off the WW, all the way out here in week 13, just before the fantasy playoffs. The staff likes Gus, sure, but he can't catch and we know his limited athleticism will come with a ceiling. The rookie might have juice that prevents the Chargers from holding him back.Define "through the roof", please.I'd definitely rather have him over Gus Edwards now. I think drafting rookies in a redraft league isn’t a winning formula most of the time.Brooks got dropped today
he got 15 snaps Week 13 (2nd game)
his utilization was 60% - 6 ATT & 3 REC
good playoff schedule
why would someone draft him in the 9th round, hold all year, and dump him now?
for Noah Gray....IDK man, chasing touchdowns when you have an ascending rookie who was the consensus #1 back in his class?

I’ve seen a lot of Brooks drops after the Chuba extension - probably based on the belief that there is no need to rush Brooks back. If week 13 is any indication, Brooks may indeed get more run down the stretch, but have to bank on a Chuba injury. Guess it depends on who you’re dropping for - agree that Gray is probably not worth it.Brooks got dropped today

Doesn’t it fail more than it works most years? I used to play some yahoo redraft leagues years ago and if memory serves it was a losing strategy more times than not. Maybe that has changed, but maybe you’ve gotten lucky with a few rookies.I think drafting rookies in a redraft league isn’t a winning formula most of the time.Brooks got dropped today

Aren't you the guy that lets us know every week you only play Dynasty?
Last year my Championship team had Jahmyr Gibbs, Sam Laporta and Jayden Reed - drafted two of those guys, traded Addison for Gibbs straight up after Week 6. Up to that point Jah had 38.9 points in PPR and had just missed two games, Addison had 73.7 points and WENT OFF for 33.1 on SNF vs 49ers & followed that up with 21.4 at GB. Everyone told me I overpaid lol.
This year I got Brock Bowers in the 9th round, TE10 off the board.
Drafting rookies has always been a core foundational piece of my redraft strategy for WR/RB/TE.
YMMV - if you play redraft.

Yeah I’m sure it’s different than it used to be with rookies. As long as you sprinkle them in sparingly. Still seems risky to me to roster too many of them in redraft.Doesn’t it fail more than it works most years? Yeah, and third year breakout for WRs used to be a thing, too
Generally rookie TEs are never productive. Last two years has people rethinking that one.
Rookie WRs come out pro ready these days. Yeah, they are inconsistent boom/bust sometimes, but it ain't like the old days
Rookie RBs, the elite ones who are drafted as starters, has always been a sound redraft strategy
Daniels has been an awesome rookie QB, I passed on him even though he was consensus Top 6-8
Last year I don't think anyone was drafting Stroud very early but he was a great WW add
Generally speaking, I'm not a fan of rookie QBs, but running QBs are still a cheat code, even as rookies

I've been holding Corum as well and I'm not letting him go.Anyway, back to Lotto backs
Have rookies Benson and Corum who I'll leave on the playoff roster. Have a good Top 3, it's just break glass in emergency - won't ever be worth anything unless the starter goes down.
I like Vidal and wanted to hold him, but dropped him for Sincere. Think he has an immediate path to be the starting RB unless A. Pierce is talking out his *ss.Any LAC RBs worth holding? I didn't watch last week's game but it didn't look like they possessed the ball much, so not many snaps to analyze. Haskins fumbled his one carry so that helps Gus and Vidal, but seems hard to trust that there's enough pie for anyone in that offense outside of Ladd (who's hurt). They don't have a plus rushing matchup either until week 17, when JK could be back.

Good to know, I didn't know Swift was dinged. Homer isn't much, but he can at least catch a few passes.Roschon Johnson - Out
D’Andre Swift - Questionable
It’s Travis Homer time?
