2024 RB Lotto Ticket Rankings (1 Viewer)

looks like Jordan Mason is playing. I guess the move now is to drop Guerendo for Sean Tucker to keep playing this lottery?

This was my first instinct in re-draft with Goodson in hand and Tucker also unclaimed. Unfortunately, I should probably start a K & DST. It also feels like the kiss of death anytime I double-dip on aspirational bench players in dynasty / redraft.

Week 8 Update- No big shifts or injuries to unpack, it seems like a more clarity type of week so notice the reds and oranges. We are distinguishing the Jags in the backfields.

Top 5 Possible KingMakers ranked: 1. Tyler Allgeier, 2.Ray Davis, 3. Blake Corum, 4. Braelon Allen, 5.Isaac Guerendo

As of Tuesday Oct 22nd.

AFC East
  • BUF:Ray Davis(53) #2 They are a run first team and he got in for clean up duty. Think of him in same realm of Allgeier but a higher ceiling and lower floor.
  • MIA:Jaylen Wright(47)Last chance to get for free, week 8 Tua returns and raises all playmakers.
  • NEP:Antonio Gibson(48) meh
  • NYJ:Braelon Allen(55.5) #4 coaching change still decreased role in week 2. They still are a great backup w/ talent.
AFC North
  • BAL: Keaton Mitchell(73.5){IR Bonus} want to highlight that we might be a month out and they are the backup to King Henry. Justice Hill(71.5)
  • CIN:Trayveon Williams(UR)
  • CLE:Donta Foreman Pierre Strong meh
  • PIT: Cordarrelle Patterson(UR) injured meh we are back to RBBC btw for PIT.
AFC South
  • HOU: Dameon Pierce (59.3)lCam Akers trade last week makes Pierce more valuable I think great handcuff possible top 10 handcuff now, Dare Ogunbowale meh
  • IND: Tyler Goodson - speed dial RB if Trey Sermon is declared out or JT misses more time but not super likely. Trey Sermon(ADP: 77.5) meh did not use his chance to be the guy.
  • JAC: 👑Tank Bigsby(65.5) ETN week 2 week injury.
  • TEN: Julius Chestnut(UR) meh
AFC West
  • DEN:Audric Estime(65) Many think Sean Payton swerved us talking about a shakeup hinting at Estime, but now hindsigh consider it was just motivating Javonte, however, Javonte did not look that great as boxscore implies. the holes were huge and Saints stink. Get Estime imo and speeddial at least.
  • KCC:👑K. Hunt the winner, Samaje Perine(UR) 3rd down pass catcher, Carson Steele(74)fumbled dog housed Clyde Edwards-Helaire would be a good story and stashable, I also think Hunt has been fine but not good. CEH could win this role imo.
  • LVR: Alexander Mattison(65) asserted as the RB you want pushing Zamir down to bench or drops Dylan Laube(78.5)
  • LAC: Kimani Vidal(UR), Go getum! speedial drill
NFC East
  • DAL: Dalvin Cook (UR) meh top team to trade for a RB as the trade deadline nears.
  • NYG:Tyrone Tracy Jr. (54.5) So still the top RB in the RBBC confirmed, The OLine is hurt and has had the most important Giants player Andrew Thomas out, this cascaded to cause the QB to get hurt and play poorly, but if oline is hurt dumpoffs should increase and this favors Tracy going forward, but overall Giants O in trouble and that also hurts Tracy, Might sell high. Singletary RBBC, but I'm not too worried- Tyrone is special imo.
  • PHI: Kenneth Gainwell(67.5),Will Shipley(68)
  • WAS: Jeremy McNichols fool's gold continues but on a powerful O, buy the fool's gold flex as is or continue to monitor
NFC North
  • CHI: Roschon Johnson(63.5) The winner of the Backup role, Khalil Herbert wtf.
  • DET: Sione Vaki(UR) Monty getting banged up and long season lets see if there is a pulse
  • GBP:MarShawn Lloyd(51.7)IR Bonus, Return is imminent. Good top IR candidate Emmanuel Wilson(UR) looked great looks like clear handcuff to own atm.
  • MIN:Ty Chandler(48.7) Aaron Jones healthy, back to monitor
NFC South
  • ATL:Tyler Allgeier(51) #1 Both RBs smashed a good matchup, I think you might want to sell high to Bijan owner or continue to hold a surefire KM candidate.
  • CAR:Miles Sanders(76)
  • NO: Kendre Miller(56)Kamara taking on the workload at their age injury risk intensifies. Jamaal Williams meh
  • TBB:👑Bucky Irving(56.5) He has the job! Sean Tucker(UR)
NFC West
  • ARI: Trey Benson(38.3) Emari Demercado(UR)Michael Carter(UR)
  • LAR:Blake Corum(40) #3 Clear backup I would def stash now.
  • SF: 👑Jordan Mason(66) Isaac Guerendo(UR) #5 System and flashed
  • SEA:Zach Charbonnet(46). Kenny McIntosh

Feel free to shout out anyone missed or wanting to endorse. I feel good about who is highlighted enough to at least monitor closely.

AZ has a pretty good schedule at the tail end for fantasy playoffs, so I'd love to grab one of these guys as insurance for Conners, but it's been impossible to figure out which. The general consensus by the smart people seems to be Benson slides into the starter role with Demercado continuing a complementary role as he does now, but straight stats and snaps being in favor of Demercado so far in the year, it looks like a crapshoot for someone not watching all of their games. So, if Conners was to be out, who gets the starter snaps even if it's more of a share than it is now?

Not a lottery ticket, but depending on today's practice report, Julius Chestnut could be a one-week scratch off ticket.

Neither Pollard or Spears had practiced as of Thursday. Haven't seen any Friday reports though.

You really think Hunt holds the job when Pacheco returns? Doubtful. Guy is headed in the wrong directions each week.
And, Chase Brown should be on this list. Zach has lost carries and is now hurt.

Pollard also DNP today.

Has looked good when they use him

Being a UDFA from a tiny no name school, they rarely use him

I see Tyjae Spears is not on your list.

How would you rank someone like him as compared to Ray Davis?
Yea, I think I excluded the 1a1b backfields and really focused on the backups with little to no perceived value.

Spears was prolly someone I could add now tho. They dipped but if Pollard is out they would be a RB2.

I value Ray Davis more since the ceiling is lowend RB1 or RB2 if Cook is out. Better offense more scoring opportunities.

Feels like Hunt won’t last and Steele might be a sneaky stash if you have room
I don't understand. Only Pacheco parks him on the bench, not Steele, who already has his name engraved on the bench.

I would love to hear the bull argument for Steele

He was super inefficient; out of 112 RBs with a rushing attempt:
  • 105th overall grade
  • 94th rushing grade
  • 106th fumbling grade (3 in 41 ATT)
  • 92nd run blocking grade
  • 100th pass blocking grade\
  • 91st receiving grade
  • 94th YPRR
  • 75th yards after contact per att
  • longest run was 9 yards
  • 3.4 yards per carry

Yeah I have no valid reason, just feels like it might happen.

Also seems like Trey Benson szn is coming soon
Curious why you think that unless you’re predicting an injury to Conner.

Conner has never played a full slate, so it seems likelier than not.

Anyone bothering with K. Herbert before the trade deadline?
A trade could definitely help his fantasy value. He won't be much in the passing game, but with the right team he could reappear and has had some success in the past. I would throw out a 4th round pick offer to see.

I like Corum as a lottery ticket. Not that I'm wishing or even believing Williams will get injured. He looks great, he is great, but I look for top talent on teams that would allow them to flourish if given the chance. When Corum comes into the game, I mistake him for Williams. This is a good thing. The difference is I see a little more shiftiness through the holes with Corum, but the low center of gravity and vision seem similar. Williams is in a league of his own, so don't get me wrong, his understanding of the game and his ability to run with power are beyond impressive. Corum isn't there yet but I love what I have seen so far. I was a non-believer pre-draft, but my tune has changed with him.

Feels like Hunt won’t last and Steele might be a sneaky stash if you have room
I don't understand. Only Pacheco parks him on the bench, not Steele, who already has his name engraved on the bench.

I would love to hear the bull argument for Steele

He was super inefficient; out of 112 RBs with a rushing attempt:
  • 105th overall grade
  • 94th rushing grade
  • 106th fumbling grade (3 in 41 ATT)
  • 92nd run blocking grade
  • 100th pass blocking grade\
  • 91st receiving grade
  • 94th YPRR
  • 75th yards after contact per att
  • longest run was 9 yards
  • 3.4 yards per carry
Steele was a fun story, but I have to agree. He has looked out of his league, like he doesn't belong. Even if Hunt were to go down I have serious doubt Steele would be able to or be given the chance to carry the load.

Anyone bothering with K. Herbert before the trade deadline?
Trade deadline is on Tuesday, before waivers Tuesday night. We’ll have a clear answer about Khalil Herbert’s fate before waivers clear. Why not waive your worst bench player and pick up Herbert now for free before then?

You can always trebuchet him into the Sun on Tuesday night if he doesn’t get traded to a good spot.

I wouldn't want that headache. Hunt, Steele, CEH, Perine, and Pacecho are all in the mix. There's little upside to rostering Steele. I'd instead pull other lotto tickets.

Perine has his limited role. CEH is irrelevant I think. If Pacheco isn’t ready, it’s Hunt until the wheels fall off, which could be soon at this pace. Hence the man of Steele. It’s not for everyone, but I’m trying to get him in some spots.

He had his chance and blew it.
He had his chance and he just wasnt any good.

How would you guys rank:

Corum
Mason
Benson
Allen
Wright

???
Tough list…and will vary greatly I imagine.

Benson - showed signs, Conner FA next year.
Wright - already taking carries from Mostert, will most likely pair with Achane next year.
Mason - RFA next year. May provide value this year still again, or has a shot with a new team next year.
Corum - Kyren has always missed time, Corum will get his chance at some point. However, I have a feeling Rams resign Corum as McVay loves him.
Allen - Jets are an absolute mess.

With McCaffrey back and Kyren Williams getting almost all the work, I would put Mason and Corum at the bottom. Long term I like Wright and Allen, but Hall overshadows Allen. I’m not a Benson truther since he had 6 games under 4 yards per carry his last year in college.

Whelp managed to land Estime in one league and Gus Edwards in the other.

Smells like... victory.

In redraft?

1. Corum -- 1/1 replacement for Kyren if he goes down. He's getting a little more run each week it seems. Good offense.
2. B. Allen -- Ditto replacement for Bryce already close to stand alone value in some matchups. Offense less good.
3. T. Benson -- Ditto with Conner, but Demarcado may steal some passing work. Good offense.
4. J. Wright -- Even if Achane goes down, Mostert will be in the mix.
5. J. Mason -- Think in the event CMC were to go down again they may mix in what's his name more.

I'm actually considering dropping J. Wright for B. Corum before kickoffs tmrw.

Braelon Allen is actually really bad. He had the decent start to the season but has been downright atrocious the last 5-6 weeks. He would need a ton of volume to provide value.

Holding Corum & Benson

Might pickup either Wright or Mason in the next midweek waiver run

Given the Dolphins haven’t used Wright in the passing game at all, probably go for CMC’s handcuff

Jets coaches keep splitting carries with Hall for some strange reason. I hope Breece finds his way out of this nightmare franchise.

I’m holding Speares, Allgiere and Benson.

Due to byes I have to start two of them next week. Or drop one for someone with some higher week 12 upside.

Likely end up just saying what the heck and starting Speares and Benson.
