The most surprising thing is that despite only each having 1 1000 yard season through 5 seasons that they are still starting RB's. Either that or that the aforementioned Jacobs (who refused to switch to LB before transferring to SIU) has as many 1000 yard seasons as Brown/Carnell combined.

Injuries are clearly a factor. It is probably more surprising that despite several big times injuries by both Caddy and Ronnie they are still more talented than Jacobs.
