It is simply amazing to me, with as prolific a passing offense that Philly has had for the last 10 years, that there are no more than 3 separate 1,000 yard seasons from Eagles wideouts during that time. I suppose it has to do with how well the touches get spread around on a regular basis in Reid's offense. Barnett and Fryer accomplished their season's prior to the Reid era.

Had you given me 20 guesses which team had the most 1000 yard receivers in the last 20 years, I still wouldnt have guessed the Redksins. Just an amazing stat.

They are missing 1. Ricky Sanders had over 1000 yards in 1989, when the Skins had 3 WRs break the 1000 yard mark. :goodposting:

So is there a case to be made that DeSean Jackson is the best WR the Eagles have had in 20 years?

Technically Sanders was 21 years ago. But yeah, that 3-wide offense was pretty prolific in the late 80's and early 90's.

Yes, with the exception of TO's one year there. And it also puts McNabb's accomplishments into perspective since he has had to play with a very poor supporting cast of receivers and TEs over the years.

Before I even opened the thread, I guessed that Denver would be #1. All of the attention is paid to the 1,000 yard rushers, but Shanahan's offense was equally adept at churning out 1,000 yard receivers, especially at the expense of the third option in the passing game.

Edit: And last year, Eddie Royal just barely missed the cut with 91 receptions for 980 yards.

With the exception of TO, that is a resounding YES!!!!They couldn't keep TO happy with the way they spread the ball around so much. Barnett was a flash and Fryer was an aging vet who was lucky to have another 1,000 yd season.DeSean Jackson is not (yet) a glory hound, and does not seem to be one. In the 10th year of Reid's regime, he has to be considered the best WR ever in Reid's drafting history. As far as the last 20 years.......I don't know...............yet. It remains to be seen.

Or the amount of #### WRs Reid has brought in that he thought were "fine players" for McNabb. Yet people still want McNabb traded lol.
